The Challenge: All Stars is currently airing season 4 and drops episodes weekly on Wednesdays on Paramount+. As per the show's format, it brought back fan favorites and former contestants of the franchise to battle it out once again.

This week on the show, Kam and Cara Maria went up against each other in an elimination challenge and the latter sent Kam packing. Kam and Cara's history on the series has been long, and so the cast member teaming up with another contestant, Laurel Stucky, to try and eliminate Cara didn't sit well with fans.

Once the episode aired, the eliminated contestant took to social media to defend her competitor and asked fans to be respectful towards her friend. Cara Maria, who, over the years, has faced her share of public backlash, wrote in an Instagram post:

"I know how it feels to be piled on by fans in a negative way. I ask you guys to keep it respectful, enjoy the show, and don’t take it below the belt when it comes to those I am competing against. I love your energy and rush to protection….. but if you really have my back you will keep it clean."

The Challenge: All Stars Cara Maria opens up about her friendship with Kam

In a recent Instagram post, The Challenge: All Stars season 4 cast member Cara Maria Sorbello opened up about her friendship with Kam over the years. She recalled seeing Kam and Lee at the airport before the show started and wanted to help them get to the final.

"I would have been the knight at their side. I knew they were fighting for their new family. I have always respected them and put them on a pedestal as a couple."

Talking about Lee and Kam's strategy in The Challenge: All Stars season 4, Cara Maria called it "unexpected" and said they wanted to come for her "at all costs." The cast member further said she was disposable to them since the entire house was "playing their game" and she wasn't needed.

She added that if they turned against her during the show only because she didn't vote with them once, to keep a promise, it was a "pretty extreme" reaction." The Challenge star opened up about her journey on the show so far and said:

"From there.... My biggest challenge was to navigate a season where the people i rooted for most... Were coming at me the hardest. I wanted to keep things respectful and take it in stride."

The Challenge: All Stars season 4 contestant noted that despite what happened on the show, she would "always root" for Kam and Lee, and recalled Kam asking her to take care of Lee if she were to get eliminated. Cara Maria added that she just liked to compete and if she was perceived as a threat, "so be it."

The cast member further told the fans that despite how things turned out, Kam was a new mother and asked them to "please be kind."

"A game is a game. I wouldn't say anything bad against people I care about on and off the game, no matter what is said about me. I don’t root for people to fail. I just want everyone to do their best, especially against me."

The Challenge: All Stars season 4 star recalled being on the opposite end of the stick and at her "lowest" a few years ago and said only a handful of people were there for her. She said it was "popular" for people to "jump on the bashing bandwagon" so she knew what it felt like to be on the fans' bad side.
