Kris Jenner gets emotional after doctors find a tumor and a cyst in her medical scans

American media personality and businesswoman, Kris Jenner, recently opened up about her health in the latest teaser of The Kardashians reality series and shared news of a medical scan.

On June 27, 2024, the show's sixth episode (season 5) aired on Disney+ Hotstar and Hulu. The end of the clip showed the 68-year-old Jenner sitting with her boyfriend, Corey Gamble, and daughters Kim, Khloé, and Kendall. She shared with her family saying:

"I wanted to tell you guys something. I had my scan. And this just makes me really emotional, but they found something. They found a cyst and, like, a little tumor."

In the beginning, the season 5 trailer had a glimpse of Kris saying that the doctors had found a cyst and a tumor as she wiped away tears.

The Kardashians came out on April 14, 2022, on the streaming service Hulu with the first season consisting of 10 episodes. The show has since gained a lot of popularity and is in its fifth season.

In a part of the fifth season's trailer released on May 9, 2024, Kris Jenner appeared emotional as she chatted with a doctor before opening up about her diagnosis at dinner with Corey and her daughters Kim, Khloé, and Kendall. She revealed that she had a cyst and a tumor. This clip was also included in the recent teaser at the end of episode 6.

Kris Jenner's medical journey was shown on the reality show in several seasons, including the time when the matriarch underwent a hip replacement in 2022. Khloé and the other sisters also made fun of their mother's hypochondria in a confessional. The 40-year-old claimed:

"I absolutely love my mom. But I feel like every other day, every other week, I’m getting a text or a phone call of her just complaining about another ailment that’s on the rise."

However, Kris Jenner was not the only one who battled a health issue in the fifth season. Kourtney Kardashian went through emergency fetal surgery in a May episode and has since given birth to her and Travis Barker's son, Rocky Thirteen Barker.

Kris Jenner was in the hospital room during Rocky’s birth even though she was not invited. However, the couple expressed their gratefulness for her presence later on. Kourtney said:

"I’m so happy that my mom [came]. She’s very, like, comforting. And I think it was a special time for me, her, and Travis that we could all share that experience together."

Kris Jenner’s tumor news also comes after Khloé’s "skin cancer scare" in 2022. The Good American co-founder had opened up on Instagram about having a melanoma spot removed in September 2024. She wrote in her story:

"Not that we needed the arrow to show the huge indentation on the side of my face but because we had to remove a tumor from my cheek, I was Ieft with an indention. I am definitely not complaining because I would rather have an indention than melanoma any day I am so incredibly grateful to all the doctors who helped and continue to help me with my skin cancer journey."
