The Real Housewives of Orange County (RHOC) season 18 returned to screens with a brand new episode this week on Thursday, August 8, 2024. During the segment, newcomer Katie Ginella and Heather Dubrow's feud from the previous episode was widely discussed.
For the unversed, the season 18 new cast member accused Heather of reaching out to Paparazzi to click pictures of her and her husband in public. In the latest episode, Heather spoke to Gina about the same and criticized her for not telling her what Katie had been saying behind her back. Gina, in turn, spoke to Katie about the situation in episode 5.
Fans of the show took to social media and reacted to the feud. While they felt that Katie could be a good addition to the cast, they criticized her for her feud with Heather. One person wrote on X:
"I’m trying so hard to like Katie but making Heather her storyline her first season is LAME. And so what if Heather called the paps every Housewife does #RHOC"
"I think Katie could be a good addition to the show, but she whiffed hard by trying to stir up fake drama about Heather & the paparazzi. Just keep it real & stop with the produced, manufactured drama!! #RHOC," a fan commented.
"I had a moment today where I was like whyyyy do we even care that much if Heather DID call the paps? Cool? I guess Katie needed a story or something to stir up? #RHOC," a tweet read.
Chiming in on Katie's proof of Heather calling the paparazzi on herself, fans said:
"Katie’s “proof” that Heather called the paparazzi was a text from a random person saying “yes”? that was a whole lot of nothing. it’s not like she had a voicemail or text from Heather to the paps. Katie seems ok but she needs to step it up to play in this lane #RHOC," a person wrote.
"If Katie wants to take down fancy pants, she better come up with more proof than some random guy texting “yes” - I need the call logs, emails, texts from Heather to this man - her proof is a nothing burger, sorry #RHOC," a fan commented.
"Again, this isn’t proof of anything. The only “proof” Katie’s brought so far is that she came into the season with a weird, predetermined vendetta against @HeatherDubrow…#RHOC," a tweet read.
The Real Housewives of Orange County season 18 fans further said:
"This new girl Katie is going to bring out the beast in heather #RHOC," a person wrote.
"Why is Katie crying over this? She did all of this to herself, & Gina has known her for all of 3 months. Gina has a much deeper friendship with Heather, so it only makes sense she’d side with her. Especially when Katie is coming at Heather with some bullsh*t. #RHOC," a fan commented.
