Selling Sunset season 8 premiered on Friday, September 6, 2024. The latest installment of the real estate reality show aired all 11 episodes together and gave fans all the drama at once.

One of the highlights of the season was Bre telling Chelsea about her husband's infidelity. Although Chelsea was initially appreciative of Bre telling her what she knew, she later questioned her motives as she recalled their turbulent history. Emma, who was friends with both cast members, sided with Chelsea and ended her friendship with Bre.

Selling Sunset season 8 fans discussed the matter online and had mixed reactions to the conflict. While some felt Bre had ulterior motives for telling Chelsea about her husband's alleged affair while the cameras were rolling, others felt Emma and Chelsea were upset at the wrong person. One person wrote on X:

"Chelsea dear Bre isn’t your enemy. You’re lashing at the wrong person."
Jeff cheats on Chelsea. Bre brings her the information. They are both on a REALITY tv show. Someone explain to me where Bre did something wrong. Only person to blame=Jeff. These women love chaos, drama, and being petty," a fan commented.
"'Emma and Chelsea were in the wrong for that. It took a lot for Bre to come out with that info and they took it against her. Those girls are starting to become the mean girls," a tweet read.

Some Selling Sunset season 8 fans felt Bre "wanted revenge" for Chelsea's comments about her and Nick Cannon's relationship:

"If y’all don’t see bre motive against Chelsea ! You are blind ! She want the girl to join the group ! Smh #SellingSunset .. she wanted revenge about what Chelsea said before to her," a person wrote.
"I really feel bad for Chelsea, and Bre is a nasty person for bringing that up to her on camera!!! And yes Bre did that to spite Chelsea, she can deny all she wants!" a fan commented.
"Bre is so full of cr*p! She orchestrated this whole mess to try to embarrass Chelsea on the show. Let’s call it what it is!" a tweet read.

Selling Sunset season 8 fans felt Emma put a "bug" in Chelsea's ear:

"Yeah so, Chelsea has no reason to be mad at bre for telling her about her husband. Emma put a bug in her ear and misdirected her anger towards the wrong person," a person wrote.
"Wait, Emma is blaming Bre for telling Chelsea that Chelsea’s husband is a cheater? That’s weird," a fan commented.

In Selling Sunset season 8 episode 6, Chrishell and Emma sat down with Chelsea to comfort the cast member after her conversation with Bre. Emma asked her how she felt when the cast member told her about Jeff's alleged affair.

Chelsea said she respected it as a "woman" but wondered what her intentions were. Chrishell also stated she was impressed by it and believed it was a "good thing" Bre told Chelsea personally. Chelsea countered the cast member and said it felt "a little too perfect" and was a "very strange situation" to be in.

"I'm trying to get to the bottom of it. So did they have a conversation 'cause she knew she had information? That Amanda knew something? Or it was a random thing? Do you know what I mean? There's a difference," Emma chimed in.

Chelsea said it would "suck" to think Bre would go out of her way to break the Selling Sunset season 8 cast member down. Emma added that if Bre had done so, she disagreed with her behavior.

Selling Sunset season 8 fans had differing opinions about the conflict that they expressed on X. While some felt Bre was at fault, others felt Emma and Chelsea were in the wrong.
