Love & Marriage: Detroit released episode 4 of season 2 on September 28. The episode was titled No Love, No Grace, All Shade, and saw the couples of the season resolving issues to strengthen their marriages. Episode 4 also introduced a new couple: Bravo and Lakeita.
In the episode, Lakeita was seen sitting down with Bravo complaining about the little time he spent with his family. She wanted him to be more accountable and make time for her and the children.
In a confessional, he revealed that he owned six restaurants which made him a busy man. Bravo then heard her and saw where she was coming from. After a lengthy discussion, he promised to make amends and come through.
Fans of Love & Marriage: Detroit took to X to ask Bravo to have a work-life balance because they thought they made for a fine couple.
"So Bravo needs to learn how to balance? I'm actually glad they are full time cast members this season," said one fan.
"Bravo’s wife is so pretty, communicative and supportive I hope he finds balance between work and home fr," said another fan.
"Bravo needs to come home at a reasonable time that isn't too much to ask, in my opinion. Also, Keita should visit in the daytime if she feels more comfortable doing that," one X user commented.
"Bravo now I know the weekends busy but maybe take time off during the weekdays lol look I’m trying to help y’all out," another fan commented.
Some Love & Marriage: Detroit fans compared him to his co-star Brandon, who was also accused of being distanced from his family. Other fans related to him because they were in the same line of work.
"Okay, Bravo is Brandon#2!" another person said.
"I def know marrying a man, who does what I do… would be tough on the toughest of women….. I give my wife all the credit!" another person wrote.
"Bravo needs a new line of work," one X user said.
"We seriously didn’t need another couple with communication issues, in which the woman feels unheard, but she’s as s*xist as he is, in which the man puts his business as an excuse and in which they use religion as their excuse," another fan wrote.
Bravo and Lakeita's conversation on Love & Marriage: Detroit season 2 episode 4
Lakeita sat down with Bravo on episode 4 of Love & Marriage: Detroit and told him her grievances about him not coming home early enough, and not knowing where he spends his time. She opened up to him and said:
"I lost my dad when I was younger and that's always a big factor for me when you're out because I don't ever want the girls to feel the same thing that I felt".
She then shared in a Love & Marriage: Detroit confessional that her father was murdered when she was 5 years old, outside a bar, which is why she is scared when Bravo stays out late at night. She added that she was scared that her babies were going to have to live the same life as her.
She said that to repel her fears all she asked of Bravo was to text her about his whereabouts. Bravo said he would take care of that from then on and communicate more.
