"Let's move on" — Sister Wives fans react to Meri talking about Kody with her friends

Sister Wives season 19 released episode 14, The Truth Will Set You Free, on Sunday, December 15, 2024. In one of the segments of the episode, Meri sat down with her friends, Jenn and Brandi, to discuss the aftermath of her divorce from Kody. She revealed that Kody had contacted her post-divorce to criticize her for rushing their separation, and also asked if she was seeing someone else.

Meri's conversation with her friends happened during their trip to Las Vegas. The trio visited the Brown family home, and later talked about Kody and Robyn, discussing how they mistreated Meri in their plural marriage.

Brandi was surprised to hear that Kody had contacted Meri after their divorce, wondering why he would do so after pestering her for years to end their relationship. While she criticized Kody's demeanor, Meri read her the text she had sent to Kody after getting the "release" from their church.

Sister Wives fans took to X to express their opinions about the discussion. While many fans praised Meri's friends for supporting her, others believed Meri should move on from Kody and talk about other things.

"These discussions about Kody with Meri and her friends are super weird. Let’s move on and never speak of him again, Ladies. Stop encouraging more talk about Kody," a fan wrote.

Episode 14 of Sister Wives saw Meri go on a Las Vegas trip with her friends, Jenn and Brandi. In one of the segments of the episode, Meri told Brandi that Kody had contacted her after she got the spiritual "release" from the church leaders, and asked her why she rushed the divorce. He wondered if Meri hastened the process because she had another man waiting for her.

Brandi chuckled after hearing that, shocked that Kody would ask Meri something without context.

"That question does not even make sense," Brandi added.

The Sister Wives star told the cameras that she ended her marriage solely because Kody wanted to. Meri then revealed that she had sent Kody a "good text" to make him realize their relationship was over. During a confessional, Meri stated she went out of her way "to be nice" to Kody, while he "flippantly and uncomfortably" spoke ill of her.

Meri wrote in her text that although she was "brokenhearted" about their relationship's end, she respected Kody and was grateful to him for the "many years of joy." The message further stated that Meri released Kody from all his responsibilities, urging him not to worry about her.

Hearing the text, Brandi said:

"You're like, 'Thank you for your service, we're done,'"
