"Lil brother and big sister" - Too Hot To Handle season 6 fans react to Joao and Flavia's relationship

Too Hot To Handle season 6 premiered on Friday, July 19, 2024, and saw a new set of singles take part in Lana's retreat and embark on a journey to make meaningful connections. However, they weren't the only ones, to help the cast members through the process, the cone-in-charge enlisted two people who had previously been a part of the process.

Flavia Laos Urbina and Louis Russell, who were a part of seasons 4 and 5 respectively returned to the retreat to give love another chance.

The two entered the villa in episode 2, and the female alum paired up with Joao after going on a date with Jordan. The two have been together ever since on the Netflix series. Fans of the show took to social media to react to the pairing and were divided in their opinion. While commenting on their age difference, one person wrote on X(formerly Twitter):

Too Hot To Handle season 6: Joao and Flavia's relationship explored

While Joao entered Too Hot To Handle season 6 in episode 1, Flavia became a part of the Netflix show in episode 2, when she entered the show alongside season 5 alum, Louis Russell.

When Lana informed the season 6 cast about the alums' upcoming return, several male cast members hoped that Flavia would enter the show, including Joao. While entering the show, Flavia told the cameras that the "Peruvian princess" was back.

Although Flavia was initially torn between Joao, Demari, and Jordan and went on a date with the latter, the two didn't seem to find common ground and she chose Joao to share a bed with.

In a confessional, she elaborated on her decision to pick Joao over Jordan. She said that the two had more in common and was worried that the Too Hot To Handle season 6 contestant Jordan, could be a "f**k boy." She said:

"Jordan is looking a little mad, so I want to clear the air and find a chance to talk to him about it."

By the end of episode 4, the two were together and strong. Too Hot To Handle season 6 released episodes 5-7 on Friday, July 26, 2024, during which several couples switched and changed their partners. However, Joao and Flavia were not one of them.

As they grew closer, the two broke Lana's rules in the process and cost the group some money in episode 5. As they lay in bed and shared a kiss, Joao told Flavia that the season 6 cast wouldn't be happy when they realize they broke the rules, but added that he didn't care. Jaoo told the cameras:

"Oh my God. It's almost impossible to keep my hands to myself."

The next morning, Lana gathered the cast in the cabana and told them that several participants had broken the rules. She added that if the perpetrators didn't own up to their mistakes, their penalty would be doubled. Joao and Flavia admitted to breaking the rules and were fined $16,000.

As the episodes progressed, the two grew closer together, and in episode 7, Joao expressed his feelings to her. He said:

"I like you. I like you so much that today I feel like if you were the one to be chosen to leave, I would have probably just left with you."

Flavia mentioned that she would have done the same and said that he was her motive to be on the dating show. Seeing the two develop a deep and meaningful connection, Lana gave them a green light.
