90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way released a new episode on Monday, November 4, 2024. In the segment, James and Meitalia resumed everyday life after their grand wedding in the previous episode. While Meitalia seemed comfortable with their situation, James worried about their dwindling finances.
James suggested they return to the U.S. so that he could start working, but Meitalia seemed against the idea. She protested, saying she did not want to be alone in a foreign country, away from her family. At that point, James explained that if they stayed in Indonesia, they would soon exhaust their savings and be left with nothing. Even then, Meitalia was adamant about not returning.
James confessed he was scared about reuniting with his family since he did not leave them on good terms. However, he had no choice. Meitalia insisted that James sponsored her sister, Angel's trips to America so she could visit her frequently, leaving James speechless.
90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way fans took to X to criticize Meitalia for crying over the relocation. They called her out for not understanding their financial situation and making unjust demands from James.
"Bless her lil weepy heart. At this point, I’m convinced Tata was hired by TLC to cry," a fan wrote.
"Tatta, you MARRIED AN AMERICAN MAN. Did you think you weren't going to have to move away from your family and live in America? James, cut your losses, divorce this child and go home. She can't leave her mama or her sister," another fan commented.
"What’s not clicking for this girl?! Yall are in a bad financial position and James is trying to get yall out of it!" a netizen tweeted.
90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way fans disapproved of Meitalia's stance, saying she needed to make a choice to better their financial condition since James could not work in Indonesia.
"So let me get this straight. TaTa thinks James is gonna be able to get a job in Indonesia? He doesnt even speak the language," a user reacted.
"You decided to have that Javanese wedding knowing damn well that y'all don't have money and now you're crying cause you have to go back so James can make money. You knew he couldn't make money in Indonesia, Tata," a person commented.
"Tatha acts like a 5-year-old who cries every time she doesn’t get her way. If she can’t deal with grown up problems like finances, then she should divorce James and live with her parents," another fan wrote.
"Wait so Thata is upset that james has to go to work when they’re in the US and she has to be alone for 8 hrs? Does she think they can live off of love? Maybe she should get a job so she has something to do," one user posted.
Some 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way fans called out Meitalia for asking James to sponsor Angel's trips to the U.S.
"Tata wants James to sponsor her sister. The sister that doesn't like him. And James has no money. She is delusional," a person reacted.
"Did Tata just tell her husband she wants him to sponsor her lying a** sister??!!!! Girlllllll y'all broke and she lied on him saying he cheated on you grow up," another netizen commented.
90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way couple James and Meitalia discuss their future in the latest episode
During a private conversation, James told Meitalia they had to return to the U.S.A. because he could no longer support her with the present finances. The news shocked Meitalia and made her emotional. While speaking to the cameras, the 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way star confessed he tried to shelve the conversation until after their wedding. However, given the state of their savings, he realized he could not wait any longer.
"It's left us with no choice but to return back to the U.S." James said.
The 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way star explained that the relocation had to be done and that it was not what he wanted to do because he knew it would hurt his wife. At the same time, he was apprehensive about returning home and reuniting with his family members because they were against his decision to move to Indonesia.
James revealed that his father had not contacted him since his relocation. Although he talked to his mother a "couple times here and there," he knew he had to work his way to mend his relationship with them. He expressed that he would need to "beg" his parents to let him work for them, admitting it was "daunting" to think about.
Meitalia got emotional thinking about leaving her family and confessed she was "scared about being alone in America." At that point, James said that the 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way star acted as if he intentionally tried to hurt her by asking her to move to the U.S.
"The whole reason I came here because I didn't want you to feel alone. I wanted to give you a better life here and it didn't work. It's not working," he said.
Meitalia retaliated asking James how long she would have to be there without seeing her family but in vain. The 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way star demanded that her sister, Angel, visit them in the States if they go through with the relocation and asked James to sponsor her trips.
After some back-and-forth, Meitalia gained some clarity after talking to her mother, who asked her to be with her husband wherever he went. She reminded her of her wedding vows and urged her to support James even if it pushed her away from her family.
