America's Got Talent season 19: Liv Warfield's journey explored
Liv Warfield first appeared on America's Got Talent on June 4, 2024 and performed an original composition, Stare. While introducing herself, the AGT season 19 contestant said she was from Peoria, Illinois, and sang "a little soul, rock and roll, R&B."
She said she was a "full-time" singer and said she had been on stage with the "greatest in the world Prince" as well as Nancy Wilson.
"I've been on a lot of stages, and I'm just glad to be here, to be able to do the music and do what I love. I just want to represent that," Liv said.
Simon asked about her thoughts about the music business and the America's Got Talent season 19 contestant said that it was "hard." Liv added that she had been in the industry for a long time and things had changed over time. However, she continued to push because she felt she had a story to tell.
Her rendititon of her original song, Stare, earned her Simon Cowell's Golden Buzzer, which landed her straight to the Quarterfinals.
She returned to the AGT stage on Monday, August 13, 2024, along with 10 other contestants and sang a song the famous singer, Prince, wrote for her. Her performance was met with cheers and applause. Chiming in on her performance, Simon Cowell said that it was "unbelievable."
"This was like, it felt to me, like all those years you've been climbing up the ladder to get to where you want to be it all came out in these 3 minutes," he added.
Although all four judges praised her performance, Liv didn't receive enough public votes and was eliminated from the televised talent show. Others who didn't make the cut included Arshiya, Attraction Juniors, Flewnt & Inkabee, Hypers Kids Africa, Los Osos High School, and Phillip Lewis.
America's Got Talent fans were unhappy that Liv Warfield didn't make it to the semifinals of the show.
America's Got Talent season 19 will return next week with Quarterfinals 2 on NBC.
