Southern Charm star Madison talks about her life after Brett's cancer diagnosis
While making breakfast together, when Brett sneezed, Madison asked him how he was feeling and if his swallowing was any better. He said he would have to see a specialist and that his treatment would be divided into two stages.
First, he would have to see an ENT for it and then get therapy. She asked Brett if it was still the same sharp feeling, and he said it felt like a marble stuck there. Madison comforted him by saying that they would get him fixed.
Then in a confessional, Madison said that he was diagnosed with thyroid cancer at the end of last year, which was a year after they got married, around their first year marriage anniversary. She teared up saying:
"I thought...like how...like I'm finally happy. And it's just scary."
Further in the Southern Charm confessional, Madison shared that she was grateful that they took out a 3-centimeter nodule from Brett's throat. She added that even though the cancer was now gone, they had to deal with the complications and that she couldn't catch a break.
Madison further shared how they were making their son deal with it. She said she did tell Hudson, their son, that Brett was sick but didn't go into details about the outcomes cancer could have. She stated that she tried to not let Hudson see her emotions because she felt like she had to be strong for him and their family.
New episodes of Southern Charm season 10 will be released every Thursday, at 9 pm ET, on Bravo.
