Love is Blind alum Tyler Francis has broken his silence following the news of his split with Ashley Adionser. The duo tied the knot on season 7 of the Netflix hit reality TV show, which aired in October 2024. However, a little over a year after tying the knot, Adionser first confirmed that they decided to split.

She broke the news to People on Wednesday, January 22, 2025, admitting that they had been separated for several weeks after it became evident that their "paths are no longer aligned." Ashley Adionser further said that it was "impossible for me to continue in this marriage," She added that the decision wasn't something she made lightly and that it was necessary.

A day after his ex-wife's statement, Tyler Francis confirmed the split with his own statement. On Thursday, January 23, he wrote in a post on his Instagram Stories:

"As many of you may have seen, Ashley has shared the news of our decision to end our marriage. This has been an incredibly difficult and emotional process for both of us, and it is one we have approached with great care and respect for one another."

He added that while their relationship was shared with hope and love, it turned out that there were difficult challenges for them to overcome. The Love is Blind star acknowledged his hand in the challenges their marriage endured.

"I take full accountability for my role in the difficulties we faced, and I respect Ashley's decision to move forward in a way that prioritizes her peace and happiness," he admitted.

Tyler Francis and Ashley Adionser previously made headlines over his biological children confession

Tyler Francis made headlines when Love is Blind season 7 rolled out in October last year after he confessed to having biological children. At the time, he said that she was a sperm donor and claimed not having a relationship with the kids or even knowing what they looked like.

The revelation initially upset Ashley Adionser, but the two talked it out and moved forward with their engagement and the wedding during the season 7 finale. However, speculations from viewers grew, especially after social media posts showing him interacting with some kids surfaced.

At the season 7 reunion, Tyler Francis set the record straight, informing viewers that he helped a friend and her wife start a family. However, his friend's wife left her and he "voluntarily" stepped in to help take care of the children. He also admitted to lying about his real relationship with the kids because he wanted to protect their privacy. According to People, at the time, Francis said that while it was news to the world, Ashley already knew all about it.

Adionser defended her then-husband's decision to step up when his friend became a single mom. Also, on the November 20 episode of Dear Future Wifey podcast, Tyler Francis claimed that he was no longer present in his children's lives following the rocky relationship with their mother. He further shut down allegations that he was an absent father, saying that he was a "glorified babysitter" that the kids' mother needed money from.

Full installments of Love is Blind season 1 through 7 can be streamed on Netflix, with season 8 premiering on February 14, 2025.
