Love is Blind wrapped up season 6 in March 2024. During the latest installment, fans saw Trevor, Chelsea, and Jimmy in a love triangle during their time in the pods. Although Chelsea eventually chose Jimmy, fans wanted Trevor and Chelsea to work.

Trevor became a fan favorite during his time on the show, but things changed when it was revealed that he allegedly had a girlfriend on the outside while filming the Netflix show. The reality star received a lot of backlash after the reunion special aired and decided to take a break from social media to focus on himself.

The season 6 star recently returned to social media to open up about the ordeal. In an Instagram post, he wrote that he agreed to film the reunion before "any information had been released." He knew about the allegations that were made but didn't read the "actual texts."

"When I saw them pull up on a screen I felt like I was in a nightmare only that nightmare was about to be viewed by 50 million people and I had 3 seconds to think of a response," he said.

Love is Blind season 6's Trevor Sova went from being one of the most well-liked contestants of the show to being one of the most disliked. Things began to worsen for him at the reunion special, when his text messages with an unnamed woman whom he was involved with, were shared.

Soon after the incident, the cast member took a break from social media, but recently returned to address his wrongdoings. In an Instagram post, the Love is Blind season 6 cast member wrote:

"I admitted I was wrong, I admitted I wanted to talk to an actual therapist vs my first time discussing it being filmed in front of an audience."

Trevor added that since the reunion special, he had been seeing a therapist and acknowledged what he needed to do to "better" himself. He further added that he said some "untruthful things."

The Love is Blind star also thanked fans for their kind messages and support. Trevor explained that he experiences days when he's "alright" and admitted to not being okay on certain days.

He further explained that he had seen all the comments asking him for an explanation and clarified that his mental health was "100x more important than the explanation":

"I wasn’t ready to acknowledge it and I wasn’t even aware how unready I was until I had an actual panic attack at the reunion," he wrote.

At the Love is Blind season 6 reunion special, which aired on March 13, 2024, Nick and Vanessa Lachey confronted Trevor Sova about the woman he was seeing outside the show. Trevor was tongue-tied when the screenshots were displayed and after a lot of difficulty, explained that he wasn't "dating her" exclusively before the Netflix show started.

"She was the typical girl I'd go for in real life. And I told her before, like, "I want to go on this to try to experiment with something else." Like, there's no justifying that. That sounds f*cking horrible what I just said, and that, that is horrible," he said at the time.

Trevor further explained that he wanted to be a part of the reality show to be able to meet someone he "wouldn't go for in real life." He noted that it was wrong for him to act like that with someone else right before and after being on the dating show. He clarified that he went in with a mindset to genuinely find someone.

All episodes of Love is Blind are available to stream on Netflix.
