Love Village, the coveted Japanese dating reality show was back for a season 2 on Netflix. Eight episodes of the show were made available to stream on November 5.
Episode 2 of Love Village was titled, Full-Body Hair Removal, after Tamifull shared her preference for a man with all his hair removed. She discovered that Captain's body was completely hairless and appreciated it.
The episode also saw Gitarin going overboard with his crush on Chii, while Chii developed feelings for Akipon. Gitarin also had friendly chats with Sen-ne and Pachi Yumi, while Akipon talked to Tamifull. Meanwhile, all the contestants continued to work on their Love Village house.

The love triangle between Akipon, Chii, and Gitarin in Love Village season 2 episode 2
At the start of episode 2 of season 2, Akipon and Chii decided to go out for a chat. They sat down on a bench by a field and talked at length about their careers. Chii said that she was solely into stage acting previously.
However, she added that the pandemic made her look for a job because everything was shut down. Chii said that she started with photography and continued to work as a photographer on the side.
Akipon, the hair salon owner, said he used to be a hairstylist but slowly got into makeup. He said:
"For 20 years or so, I only worked as a hairdresser, but once I broke out of that, my world also expanded".
Chii then made it clear that she was looking for a marriage partner and asked his views on marriage. Akipon hesitated since he was divorced twice, but said he was okay with things eventually leading to marriage.
On the other hand, Gitarin, the dance and music teacher sang for Chii while teaching dancing to his housemates. His lyrics included the words, "Marry me". In a Love Village confessional, he said he would write a song for Chii, as he found out her birthday was coming up soon.
However, Chii summoned Akipon again for more chats where they talked about Akipon's body count. By the end of the episode, she admitted to liking Akipon and wrote in her diary that she was falling for him.
Tamifull talks about her journey with cancer on Love Village season 2 episode 2
The cast of Love Village sat down at the table to talk about the worst diseases they had had in their lifetimes. Tamifull opened up about her breast cancer diagnosis when she was 35. She said it was in stage four and she was given a 20% chance of survival. She added:
"I didn't want to have any regrets, so I decided to make the most out of each day I had".
She said that she took up a new career as a manga artist because she thought they were her last days and had nothing to lose. But her zeal for life made her survive and she was cancer-free in no time. Her touching story made the hosts and some of her co-stars tear up.
In another event from episode 2, Tamifull opened up about how she liked men with hairless bodies as she noticed that Captain's was exactly like that, which she admitted to liking. Gitarin took dietary advice from Sen-ne who told him to control his blood sugar levels and chew his food properly. He followed this advice religiously.
