The Ultimatum: Marry or Move On season 3 premiered on November 4 on Netflix and introduced 6 couples who were not on the same page, when it came to the subject of marriage.
All the couples broke up in the premiere episode to explore the connection with other freshly broken-up singles through one week of dating. When it came to choosing whom she wanted to continue the experience with, Aria selected Caleb as her trial husband.
During "The Choice" segment, she shared that she was able to open up to Caleb because of their similar upbringing. She felt validated as she had a hard childhood and was grateful to see the same "resilience" as her in someone else.
"I was able to open up because we grew up very similarly. And I know with, like, my ex, we did not. That, in a sense, made me feel validated because I know my upbringing was hard. It's nice to see somebody else with resilience as well," she said in episode 3.
"Able to be vulnerable with each other" - The Ultimatum: Marry or Move On star Aria expresses her feelings for Caleb
At the end of episode 2, the newly broken-up singles were given a choice to select their trial partners. If the person they chose selected them back then the two contestants would enter into a trial marriage.
The "The Choice" segment carried on The Ultimatum: Marry or Move season 3 episode 3, and by the end, only Aria and Caleb were left to decide.
During their one week of dating, Aria formed connections with both J.R. and Caleb. In episode 3's "The Choice" segment, she reflected on the week as being filled with many ups and downs. Aria described J.R. as a "sweetheart" and wished him all the best for the future.
"You were very open with this experience, and I feel like with that, you kind of allowed me to be more open. And I think that with that openness, I felt very guilty, to be honest. And that's because I am very loyal," she told J.R.
The Ultimatum: Marry or Move On star shifted her focus to Caleb, sharing that their connection initially began in a "very platonic" way. In comparison to her ex, Scotty, she was able to open up to Caleb because of their similar upbringing.
By finding Caleb who shared a similar background and had shown resilience despite challenges, Aria felt validated in her own struggles and accomplishments.
"We were honestly able to be vulnerable with each other. I did not feel judged at all. And I think that he was just there for me, and I just felt really secure with you. I also feel like you'd be an incredible husband. You are just a very kind person, and I think that will take you anywhere and everywhere," she added.
Caleb thanked Aria for expressing her feelings about him, sharing that he entered The Ultimatum: Marry or Move On as his authentic self. He expressed gratitude for her ability to appreciate him for who he truly was and shared how much he valued the time they spent together.
Aria was the first to choose a trial partner and selected Caleb as her trial husband. She shared that through the experience she was able to get more clarity on exactly what she needed in a partner. The Ultimatum: Marry or Move On star added that Caleb gave her the space she wanted.
Caleb also chose Aria, highlighting how their connection developed naturally and "wasn't forced."
"And that's how I think we can both grow through this, because we allow each other to have the space. You're driven. It's very obvious. Very independent. I see that my ex is more codependent. Thank you for showing how I would like a partner to be. I think you're going to make a great wife one day," Caleb on The Ultimatum: Marry or Move On continued.
The Ultimatum: Marry or Move On season 3 episodes 1-5 are available on Netflix.
