“Made for each other”— Below Deck Sailing Yacht fans react to Daisy and Gary going out for drinks

Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 5 episode 12 was released on December 30. The episode was titled Fraught Mess and witnessed the crew members dealing with a tough charter. Apart from that, Gary and Daisy went out to get drinks.

The previous seasons of the franchise have seen Daisy and Gary conflicted after they slept together and hid it from Daisy's then-boyfriend and first engineer on the previous season of Below Deck Sailing Yacht. Gary always made it clear that he wasn't romantically inclined towards Daisy, so he didn't want a relationship.

In season 5 of Below Deck Sailing Yacht, Gary vowed to stop drinking to break away from his old pattern of drinking heavily. So Gary and Daisy going out for drinks was big for two reasons: one was because Gary went out with Daisy, and the other was because he was breaking his sober spell.

While there, he asked Daisy if she would want to be in a relationship with him; she said no because she wanted him to figure out who he was first. Fans of the show came to X to react to the two going on the date.

"Jeez, Unfortunately, Gary and Daisy are made for each other. They are both a mess in their own ways. Let’s just cut the games and skip to where they end up together years from now. The back and forth is not interesting anymore," a fan said.

"I really don't need to watch Daisy and Gary having a drink .. this could have been left out…," said another.

Some fans of Below Deck Sailing Yacht thought they belonged together, while some pointed out the fact that Gary went out for drinks when he had stopped drinking.

The past episodes of Below Deck Sailing Yacht witnessed Gary and Daisy moving into the same dorm room, so when they went out, Gary cheered to being roomies, besties, and moving forward. He then asked Daisy what she was looking for from life in the next couple of years.

Daisy said she wanted a stable work life and stated that she wasn't looking for a relationship because she was having too much fun. He then acknowledged the fact that they had gone through a lot of stuff, the kind of stuff that married couples hadn't been through.

She then shared that it takes a long time for her to fall in love. This is when Gary asked her if she saw a relationship with him, and she replied:

"Gary you just like the idea of me...You need to be honest with yourself."

She said that they had a lot of work to do on themselves and thought that she had been working more on herself than he was working on himself. She advised him to work more on himself before he jumped into a relationship. He agreed and asked her to help him; she said she could help him as a friend.
