Survivor season 47 aired a brand new episode on Wednesday, November 6, 2024. The segment saw the remaining castaways compete in another immunity challenge ahead of the latest tribal council.

As part of the immunity week, the castaways participated in an endurance task. The task required them to hold on to a bar with buckets filled with water for as long as they could. Two players won immunity, Kyle and Sue. Fans took to social media to react to the task winners online and praised Sue's immunity win. One person wrote on X:

What happened in Survivor tonight?

In Survivor season 47 episode 8, the castaways participated in an immunity task. As part of the challenge, they had to hold a bucket via a handle containing 25% of their body weight before they entered the game.

Sam and Genevieve were the first to drop their buckets, with Teeny and Sierra dropping them next. Gabe was the next one to be eliminated from the challenge before Caroline too saw the same fate. Sol also dropped his bucket, and it came down to Sue and Rachel for the women and Andy and Kyle for the men.

As Rachel and Andy dropped their buckets, Sue and Kyle won immunity. It was Kyle's third immunity win, while Sue won individual immunity for the first time in season 47.

What else happened in episode 8?

In episode 8 of the CBS reality show, the contestants received a note informing them of the upcoming auction. In order to bid during the auction, they had to collect tubes of money placed somewhere in the jungle. Sierra found the most tubes while Andy found none.

At the auction location, host Jeff Probst revealed that the person with the most money by the end of the auction would not be able to vote in the upcoming tribal council. The first item up for sale was potato chips and soda, which went to Sol for $60. Teeny bought macaroni and cheese for $640, Sierra bought chips, salsa, and a margarita for $800, and Kyle bought buffalo wings and celery for $560.

Gabe purchased item number six for $660, which was revealed to be a coconut. Sol bought the next item, an apple pie with cream, for $540. Rachel bought a burger, fries, and a beer for $500, while Genevieve spent all her money on a dessert tray.

The next item, a breakfast tray, was for $200, but those who wanted to buy it had to eat grubs. Sam ate two grubs and bought the tray consisting of blueberry pancakes. Sue spent all her money on a burrito while Caroline purchased fish eyes. Sierra bought peanut butter and chocolate and was allowed to share it with two other Survivor season 47 contestants.

By the end of the episode, Sierra was eliminated from the show after the latest tribal council session.
