90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way season 6 aired episode 14, titled Reality Frights, on Monday, October 1, 2024, on TLC. The segment saw Dempsey and Statler on their way to Paris and that's when the latter referred to their previous argument on the ferry.
Statler told Dempsey she wasn't "thrilled" by what happened on the ferry she told her she shouldn't try to talk to her when she was "over" her limits. She further said she needed not to be "offended" by Statler's inability to work through their issues during that time.
Dempsey said she would get offended if Statler was rude to her all the time and the latter said her intentions weren't to be rude but that she has had anxiety "all" her life. She said that she just hadn't been able to figure it out.
Fans reacted to the conversation online and felt Statler brought up her anxiety diagnosis often. One person wrote on X:
"I’m tired of hearing about Statler’s diagnosis every episode, all last season. Make it stop!"
"Statler is never going to find someone that will put up with her misery everyday. She blames it on her diagnosis that she’s b*tchy all the time or having anxiety. Instead of looking for someone to deal with that maybe she should seek help," a fan commented.
"I’m curious Statler. You have had anxiety you whole life with various therapies and medications? Was there not ONE thing that you learned ever in regards to coping skills when in a situation that is uncomfortable? Not being funny," a tweet read.
Fans of 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way season 6 fans urged Statler to find a therapist:
"Statler should be home trying to get help for her anxiety, instead of driving all over Europe," a person wrote.
"Statler needs intensive therapy and/or medication to treat her anxiety... It's not Dempsey's job to "deal with" Statler's issues...finding a mate won't fix emotional issues..." a fan commented.
"I’m tired people acting like loons and casting a bad light on the state of TX. Someone should have told Statler to rub some dirt on it when she was a child whining all the time. Maybe she wouldn’t have an anxiety attack when the wind blows," a tweet read.
Fans of 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way fans further said:
"We don't need to see the shipwreck named Dempsey and Statler this much. You can reduce their screen time a bit," a person wrote.
"I don’t understand why Statler can’t tell her partner when I’m having a panic attack, this is what I need from you. I don’t think that is asking too much since according to her, she has had this all her life," a fan commented.
