“Mean girl”—Dubai Bling fans criticize LJ for talking to Jwana’s ex

Netflix's Dubai Bling season 3 premiered on January 8, 2024, with all 9 episodes. The latest season introduced some fresh faces to the mix, and they came with their own plot points. Jwana, Farhana's close friend, was one of the new additions. Early on in the season, there were mentions of her past friendship with Lojain aka LJ, which came to an end.

Episode 3 finally disclosed the reason behind their rift. Jwana took to a confessional to say that LJ got closer to her ex, started following him on social media, and even gave heart reactions to his post. In episode 4, Farhana mediated to get them to talk, hoping to bring them together. However, things went far from this moment on.

The two had a verbal fight after Jwana accused LJ of going for her ex. LJ refused her claims and said that she was only friends with him. Jwana then claimed that LJ did it to hurt her. After Jwana stormed off the scene, LJ admitted to having made the move to hurt her because she went out with a man LJ liked.

Fans of Dubai Bling took to X to criticize LJ for her actions.

"LJ can give but never wants to take insults. She is always playing the victim. She is the slyest mean girl of the lot," a fan said.

"Pause…Jwana went out with someone LJ liked as a friend so LJ purposefully tried to hurt Jwana by being friendly with her ex-husband? How on earth does she think those things are even comparable? She’s in the wrong," said another.

"I don’t understand why people want Jwana to forgive and be friend with LJ again after what she did," added a third person.

"What was LJ mad abt? I still don’t see an issue with what Jwana did .. seems like a friend who’s tryna get her girl put on. So how does that constitute LJ flirting up with Jwana's ex…," another wrote.

Some fans of Dubai Bling criticized LJ for not acknowledging the issue or apologizing to Jwana.

"LJ being very secretive about her issue with Jwana or refusing to discuss/ address it, screams guilty to me. Deffo a woman I wouldn’t trust around my man," an X user wrote.

"I see what LJ means by she was younger, bc at a certain age you can do things and 5 years later regret it or do believe that you have done such a thing. But she should have apologized and explain why she did what she did and that’s it," wrote another.

"Why is it that the second Jwana came on the screen I instantly believed her over LJ without knowing any details lol," commented one.

"Can y’all finally admit that LJ is always bringing bad vibes…for literally no reason?" wrote another.

LJ and Jwana's fight on Dubai Bling season 3 episodes 4 and 5

Dubai Bling stars Jwana and LJ walked the ramp for the same brand for Dubai Fashion Week, so they gathered at the brand's outlet alongside Farhana and Mahira. Farhana acted as a mediator and encouraged the two of them to resolve their problems. LJ started by accusing Jwana of telling her secret to others. Jwana denied having done such a thing and asked for proof of what LJ claimed.

Then, when Jwana accused LJ of going out with her ex, LJ said she was only friends with him. Jwana asked her why she was friends with him when he should've meant nothing to her. Jwana then asked:

"You told her (Farhana), 'I want to hurt Jwana.' Swear on the life of your kids it didn't happen?"

LJ admitted to having said that and then took to a Dubai Bling confessional to share that she wanted to hurt her. LJ further said that she did so to make Jwana understand how she made her feel. This remark hurt Jwana and she yelled at LJ, reminding her that she was like a mom to her children and it was unfair of her to do it to Jwana.

Jwana then told Farhana that she cried every night for two years because of what LJ did, and walked away from the scene.
