"Miserable soul!”- Love & Marriage: Huntsville fans criticize Mel for asking LaTisha about Maurice’s arrest

Love & Marriage: Huntsville season 9 episode 6 was released on December 7. The episode was titled These Lips Don't Lie and documented brothers Marsau and Martell getting into a fight. Destiny and Chris took it upon themselves to resolve their feud by talking to them.

In Love & Marriage: Huntsville episode 6, Mel met LaTisha for lunch. Here, she brought up Maurice's DUI arrest and asked her her views on it. LaTisha is Maurice's brother, Martell's partner, and thus, a part of his family, and so Mel thought she might know something the rest of them don't.

This was her second attempt to get some information on this, after the previous episode saw her asking Maurice's partner, Kimmi, about the same.

After her failed attempt to get something spicy out of her meeting with Kimmi, she decided to ask LaTisha. The latter didn't give her anything either and just said they were grateful nothing much happened to Maurice and that he was safe.

Fans of Love & Marriage: Huntsville came to X to criticize Mel for trying to get Maurice's tea from a second person.

"Melody is such a miserable soul! #LAMH doesn't need a mother, and she wants every woman to go through the same embarrassment she went through!" said one fan.

"Melody’s scenes are so forced & fake. Inviting these women to lunch to get (tea). Why does she think they owe her a damn thing about what goes on in their lives?" another said.

"This country bumpkin @MelodySHolt is really on my nerves. She NEVER just wants 2 meet and just enjoy, it's always with a dark spirit trying to dig up info and spill. God forbid U mention her name and all hell will break loose," added a third one.

"Melody so miserable and can’t even hide it anymore. Martell has driven her crazy. Tisha ain’t sellin her family out for you girl. Please rest," another wrote.

Some fans of Love & Marriage: Huntsville called Mel out for only calling LaTisha to lunch because she wanted tea on Maurice's arrest.

"Melody was INSUFFERABLE tonight. She needs to have a break from the show because she’s only present at events she leads and her only storylines are her in other people’s business. Give us a break. It won’t happen because she’s an executive producer, but we can hope," an X user wrote.

"I thought Mel said she invited Tisha out to get feedback on the girls trip - you see how she immediately went into investigating Maurice’s DUI & making assumptions about this red lipstick," another wrote.

"Melody wouldn’t be making NO ROUNDS with me, tryna get information but won’t tell yours," commented another.

"So is it Messy Mel now?? One minute you’re not friends with Tisha & Kimmie the next breath you’re up in their face with faux concern. U can’t be a grown woman bout your business doing jr high level petty. Girl grow up," wrote one.

The conversation between Mel and LaTisha on Love & Marriage: Huntsville season 9 episode 6

After Mel asked LaTisha about Maurice's DUI, LaTisha took to a Love & Marriage: Huntsville confessional to say that she understood Mel's concern because she lost her grandma to a drunk driver.

She understood why Mel wanted Maurice to be more accountable for his arrest but she also said that his arrest was nobody else's business.

Mel then asked LaTisha if she saw Maurice's mugshot because he had red lips in the picture which she claimed were lipstick. LaTisha said that it probably was the drink but Melody refused to believe her. LaTisha couldn't take it so she got up and left without paying the cheque.
