"Mom's is tired of her" — Love After Lockup fans react to Justine asking her mother to come for her emergency surgery

Love After Lockup season 5 aired a new episode, High Risk Lies, on Friday, November 29, 2024. One episode segment saw Justine visit the hospital to check on her baby. During the checkup, she discovered that her child's life was at risk due to some complications with her uterus. When the doctor advised her to have an early delivery, Justine called her mother, asking her to visit.

Justine was worried about her emergency surgery and sought her mother's support. However, when she told her mother that she was having emergency surgery, the latter asked her to specify what the emergency was and if it was urgent. Justine was shocked by her lack of concern and nonchalance.

She was disappointed to see where her mother's priorities lied. Justine felt neglected, recalling how her mother never supported her during any of her pregnancies.

Love After Lockup fans flocked to X to comment on Justine and her mother's conversation. While many criticized Justine for calling her mother, others felt her mother's reaction was justified since Justine had never listened to her advice about pregnancy.

Many Love After Lockup fans believed Justine's mother refused to show urgency because she was tired of her daughter's decisions.

Love After Lockup: Justine knew her mother would not support her

When the doctor informed Justine that the baby could die after birth or be born still, Michael asked Justine to call her mother. However, Justine was not too keen about contacting her. The Love After Lockup star revealed she had not spoken to her mother after telling her about her pregnancy three weeks ago.

Justine hoped her mom would treat her like her daughter for once and worry like a parent should. She sought her mother's care and affection, knowing the surgery was a high-risk situation for her and her child.

When the Love After Lockup star asked her mother to fly to her, saying she was in an emergency, the latter said:

"Yeah I know, but you haven't told me what the emergency is. It better be some real f**king emergency. I'll call you when I get out of the appointment. Bye."

At that point, Justine asked Michael if he had ever met a parent who inquired about the emergency type before helping. Although the Love After Lockup star was disappointed by her mother's reaction, Justine knew she would not be supportive.

While speaking to the cameras, Justine wondered why her mother was so hard on her. She revealed that her mom had been this way since childhood. Justine was convinced she would never be enough for her.

"With every pregnancy, she's found a way to hurt me," Justine said.

The Love After Lockup star recalled how her mother hurt her by refusing to let her first child, Kylie's father come to the delivery. When Justine had her second child, her mother did not attend the delivery because she did not want to interact with the child's father. She made him leave to come.

With her following pregnancies, Justine's mother's involvement kept decreasing. As a result, Justine confessed that she had reached that point where she would rather not have her mother by her side than feel hurt by her actions.
