The grand season finale of season 19 of America’s Got Talent was finally out on September 17, 2024. The 10 performances competing in the finale consisted of AIRFOOTWORKS, Brent Street, Dee Dee Simons, Hakuna Matata Acrobats, Learnmore Jonasi, Richard Goodall, Roni Sagi & Rhythm, Sebastián & Sonia, Sky Elements, and Solange Kardinaly.

Some acts among these got more traction on social media than the others which included AIRFOOTWORKS. The dance and acrobat group's gravity-defying performance stole the show once again as they performed on Coldplay's song, Higher Power.

The judges grooved to the song as they enjoyed the seamless performance by AIRFOOTWORKS. Fans of America’s Got Talent also took to X to praise the dancers in real time. Some of them thought it was the best performance of the week, while others thought they deserved to win.

"My jaw dropped so many times during AIRFOOTWORKS' performance. That was perfection!" a fan wrote.
"@airfootworks is so talented! Very entertaining to watch every single time!" another one wrote.
"Airfootworks just did their performance to "Higher Power" on #AGT I wish @coldplay saw that!" a third fan chimed in.
"Awesome performance by airfootworks, They are amazing this week #AGT," one fan said.

Some fans of America’s Got Talent compared AIRFOOTWORKS' act last week with their finale performance and noted that they had improved. Others also compared them to Brent Street, another dance group and said AIRFOOTWORKS was better.

"Looks like Airfootworks have regained their confidence and potential," an X user commented.
"Was probably their worst performance but Brent Street wasn't good tonight imo and was repetitive so I'll go Airfootworks," another viewer wrote.
"I simply don't understand how people can look at a regular dance choreography like Brent Street, or a singer, no matter how well done, and compare to AirFootWorks, with their creativity, synchronization, unique visual and dance moves never seen before," one user said.

AIRFOOTWORKS' performances over the weeks on America’s Got Talent season 19

AIRFOOTWORKS originates from Japan and is mentored by former America’s Got Talent season 8 winner Kenichi Ebina. He also founded the performance group UniCircle Flow, that reached the semi-finals in America’s Got Talent season 16.

Fans were already familiar with Kenichi's style of mentoring, so when AIRFOOTWORKS came on season 19, the expectations were high. The dance group stayed true to their style. Their audition performance was on Justin Bieber's song Where Are You Now, which received a standing ovation from three judges, excluding Simon Cowell.

Then for the quarterfinal round, AIRFOOTWORKS chose a song titled Celestial by Ed Sheeran for a performance that made them look like they were dancing with the stars. They bagged standing ovations from all four judges this time and went down in America’s Got Talent history for getting a judge to steal fellow panelist's Golden Buzzer.

For the uninitiated, it was judge Howie's turn to press the Golden Buzzer that day, but AIRFOOTWORKS mesmerized Simon so much that he didn't care to override Howie and attempted pressing the button. But Howie was on his toes and quickly put his hand on the buzzer before Simon reached it and became the judge who awarded them the coveted buzzer.

America’s Got Talent season 19 could be streamed on Peacock.
