"Nasty individual!" — 1000-lb Sisters fans criticize Tammy for not bidding farewell to Amanda

Season 6 of 1000-lb Sisters aired episode 8, Peas Out, Yo! on Tuesday, December 3, 2024. The episode saw Amanda pack her belongings to relocate to Florida. Her family visited her one last time to say goodbye. Although Tammy accompanied the others, she refused to come out of the van.

Tammy even rolled up the van's window when the others asked her to join them in a quick prayer for Amanda. She refused to leave the vehicle and stated that Amanda should feel content with her presence alone. Due to a previous disagreement, Tammy was not on talking terms with her sister and did not wish to participate in her farewell ceremony.

Meanwhile, Amanda, upset about leaving her family behind in Kentucky, expressed that she was unbothered by Tammy's behavior because she had other things to worry about. She was against dragging the dispute and letting it affect her.

1000-lb Sisters fans were unimpressed by Tammy's treatment of Amanda and took to X to criticize her. While many called her out for rolling up her window to avoid saying a prayer, others wondered why she came if she was not going to say goodbye to her sister.

"Tammy is one nasty individual! How do you just close the window when your family asks you to come pray? Why even bother to show up?" a fan wrote.

Many 1000-lb Sisters fans disapproved of Tammy's decision not to wish her sister goodbye.

"Be thankful I showed up" — 1000-lb Sisters star Tammy refuses to interact with Amanda

While driving to Amanda's house, Tammy told Chris that she would not get out of the car to help Amanda pack her belongings or talk to her. She clarified that she accompanied them for "moral support" and would not interact with her sister because she had nothing nice to say to her. When Chris reminded her that Amanda was family, Tammy said:

"You got me here, so please stop pushing the issue."

When Amy saw the 1000-lb Sisters star sitting in the car, she wondered why she came if she planned to sit like a "pouting baby." Meanwhile, Amanda expressed that she felt bittersweet about her relocation. On one hand, it was difficult to part ways with her family, but on the other, the excitement of starting a new life in Florida appealed to her.

After a while, Amanda confided in her family that she was ready to leave Kentucky because the battles she fought there were "too much" and she was exhausted. The 1000-lb Sisters star mentioned that it felt like "closing a whole book to a lot of sh*t."

Before Amanda left, the family gathered to say a word of prayer. However, when they asked Tammy to join, she rolled up her window and ignored them. While speaking to the cameras, the 1000-lb Sisters star explained herself:

"Every time Amanda and I are around each other, it goes bad. So I'm just gonna chill in the van. Just be thankful I showed up in any kind of way. It's better than nothing."

Later, Amy criticized Tammy for not being "civil" and saying goodbye to her sister who had moved for good.
