“Nasty work”- Love & Marriage: Huntsville fans react to Martell texting Mel

Episode 7 of Love & Marriage: Huntsville season 9 was released on December 14. Titled Game a' Thrown, the episode documented the cast attending Tricia's kids' graduation party. It also saw Mel inviting her ex-husband's brother, Marsau, and his partner, Tisha, to spill some tea.

Mel summoned the two of them to reveal a text she received from her ex-husband, Martell. Disclosing the contents of the text out loud, Mel said that Martell had said that Marsau and Tisha had made some poor comments about her.

This came after the previous episode saw cracks between Marsau and Martell deepen as the latter accused Marsau of being a cheater. He also called out his partner, Tisha for supporting him and called her "nasty".

So when the two heard the text message, they turned defensive and denied Martell's claims. They asked Mel if she asked him what they exactly said, she said she wasn't going to break her no-contact.

Fans of Love & Marriage: Huntsville came to X to react to the same.

"Why would Martell still text Melody when y’all are done? I’m so confused," said one fan.

"How did Martell text Mel? Is the restraining order or whatever up?! Does he have her new number?" said another.

"Martell texting Mel about the field day event was his way of trying to tag Mel into the BS because he wants help fighting… yall overuse the word “narcissist” but Martell and Trump are the standard," added one.

"So Martell violated the "no contact order" even before the most recent violation... He texted Melody to gossip about Marsau and Tisha," another wrote.

Some fans of Love & Marriage: Huntsville suspected Martell of making such a move because he wished to get back with Mel.

"Martell thought that if he texted Mel about what Tisha and Marsau said, that would reunite them somehow," an X user wrote.

"Martell texting Mel about that foolishness is just him trying to talk to that lady," another user wrote.

"Martell you a BAN for trying to dog Marsau when he was out here giving you money and jobs," another wrote.

"I appreciate Mel for being mature enough to speak to Latisha and Marsau pertaining to the text that Martell sent. Martell was looking to start some drama by using Melody’s name to stir up the mess that he started," commented one.

The conversation between Mel, Marsau, and Tisha on Love & Marriage: Huntsville season 9 episode 7

When Mel summoned Marsau and Tisha, she clarified that she called them because as per her talks with Tisha, they were supposed to call each other if something didn't feel right.

She then revealed the text Martell sent her, which accused Tisha and Marsau of saying "degrading things" about Mel at Destiny's adult field day event.

To this, both Tisha and Marsau said Mel wasn't mentioned at all during their chat except the one time when the latter said Martell could've asked him directly if he had doubts about Mel sleeping with him.

He also revealed the time when Martell had asked him if he had actually slept with Mel.

The group of three agreed on the fact that Martell lied. Tisha called him deceitful while Mel and Marsau agreed that Martell was following the same pattern he did all these years and that he needed to act better in order to be better.

In a Love & Marriage: Huntsville confessional, Mel said she was grateful that the Scotts were finally getting to see Martell's true face. Marsau told Mel she did well by showing up to clarify this.
