In The Ultimatum: Marry or Move On season 3 episode 9, while on her way to make the final decision, Zaina reflected on her journey with J.R. She shared that her love for J.R. increased during their trial marriage and gave them clarity on what their future would look like. Now that it was the ultimatum day, Zaina was ready to hear what J.R.'s decision was regarding their relationship.
She told the cameras that this experience would "change their lives forever" regardless of whether they decided to stay together or not. She said:

During her confessional interview, she expressed gratitude about being paired up with Scotty for the trial marriage. Despite the clashes and arguments between them, Zaina stated that he had a good heart and true intention to start a family, she said:
"As awkward as it was, I am glad I ended up with Scotty, even throughout the crash and burn. He genuinely just wants to love on someone. He wants to build a family with someone. So, when you have that level of excitement and optimism for a future, you look at things differently."
