Danielle Olivera bids farewell to Summer House after spending seven seasons on the Bravo reality TV series. She shared a photo of the show's cast on Instagram on Tuesday, June 25, 2024, along with a statement about her sudden exit ahead of season 9, at least as a regular cast member.
The statement read:
"Hello my sweet loves, I wanted to share that I've come to the heartbreaking decision to not return as a full time cast member on the upcoming season of Summer House."
Sharing her reasons for the departure from the popular series after season 8, the reality TV star continued:
"Obviously this decision didn't come without a tremendous amount of thought. Ultimately, I just need to trust my gut. If I can't put 100% of myself into filming, genuinely and authentically, it really doesn't feel right doing it in a full time capacity."
Danielle Olivera also noted that she has different priorities at the moment, and wouldn't be able to give the network, production, the cast, and the viewers the 100 percent they deserve.
"Right now I need to protect and prioritize the things that matter most to me - my company, my people, and of course myself."
Olivera first joined the Summer House family full-time on season 2, which debuted on the network in January 2018. She's been part of the full-time cast since then and has also appeared on season 3 of Winter House, which premiered in October 2023.

Danielle Olivera teases fans that they might still see her as a guest on the show's upcoming season
The reality TV star was firm on her decision to say goodbye to the Bravo hit reality series as a full-time cast. She referenced the show's season 4, where she stepped back from filming a little and only appeared as a part-time "friend" for the entire season, which "ended up working for the better."
That said, Danielle Olivera might not be out of Summer House for good as a part of her statement shared on Instagram teased the possibility that fans might still see her in the upcoming season 9 at some capacity. She wrote:
"However I'm involved this summer, you can bet I'll be rooting for another incredible season for my Summer House fam. My goodness, season 9 you guys!!!"
The reality TV star also made a shoutout to NBCU/Bravo and Truly Original in her post, thanking them for understanding and supporting the decision she had come up with.

The previous season gave Danielle Olivera a redeeming finale after her epic falling out with her best friend and cast mate Lindsay Hubbard in season 7. Season 8 saw the two smoothing things over and building their friendship back up following Hubbard's engagement to Olivera's ex, Carl Radke, and their subsequent breakup. This brought the drama to the season 8 reunion.
The previous seasons of Summer House are available for streaming on Bravo and other streaming services.
