“Needed that”- Love & Hip Hop: Miami fans react to Princess slapping Amara

Love & Hip Hop: Miami season 6 episode 8 came out on January 6. The episode was called Lashing Out, and saw Amara clashing with Princess. This happened after the previous week's episode saw sparks flying between Amara and Princess' estranged husband, Ray J.

In Love & Hip Hop: Miami episode 7, Ray J openly flirted with Amara, admitting he tried to create a rift between her and her ex-husband, Allan, as he felt she deserved better. He asked her to teach him Bachata for a music video and held her close even after the dance ended. When Amara reminded him he was married, Ray J claimed his marriage to Princess was nearly over.

In episode 8, Princess confronted Amara about the situation, questioning why Amara hadn’t informed her about meeting Ray J.

Her anger culminated in her slapping Amara, a scene which provoked the fans to react on X.

"Amara needed that slap. Hopefully it knocked some sense into her! Went from being known as an artist to a pass-around. Chileeeee," a fan said.

"Princess snuck that slap in real quick, Princess Hollywood came out lol," another fan said.

"Amara must have forgotten that she was dealing with Princess. That slap connected so hard her bachata ancestors felt it," added a third.

"Amara definitely deserves that slap from Princess because like what are you doing girl," another wrote.

Fans of Love & Hip Hop: Miami also criticized Princess for bothering about such a thing despite being separated from Ray J.

"Hasn’t Ray J and Princess been separated since the beginning of their marriage so why is she mad at any interaction Ray J have with any woman," an X user wrote.

"Should Amara have told Princess. I would have! But was Amara suppose to miss a business opportunity for “friendship” idk…but is Princess all around DUMb for still putting up with Ray J. Absolutely!" another user wrote.

"Princess- nobody wants Ray J. Except you," commented one.

"Amara got the right one cuz Princess don’t play about Ray J, Amara been playing with ppls men all season it was only time," another wrote.

Amara and Princess' interaction on Love & Hip Hop: Miami season 6 episode 8

While on her way to meet Amara, Princess took to a Love & Hip Hop: Miami confessional that her relationship with Ray J was toxic and that she needed her friend, Amara, to be there for her, but instead she "violated" their friendship. She added that she traveled to Miami, from LA, to tell Amara that she wasn't her friend.

While confronting Amara, Princess said that she found out she was dancing with Ray J and told her that she should've come to her and told her about it. In a Love & Hip Hop: Miami confessional, Princess said:

"You're supposed to be my friend. Shouldn't you have reached out to me before the meeting? It just threw me off and I knew something wasn't right."

She further stated that Ray J came up with crazy ideas for this movie, but he never followed through and she couldn't believe how Amara fell for it. In her defense, Amara rhetorically asked what she should've told Princess before knowing what Ray J wanted. She further stated:

"I had nothing to tell you before it happened. 'Cause nothing had happened."

She added that she told her about their meeting once it was done. Princess wasn't having any explanation, so she called Amara a "fake *ss bitch" and slapped her.
