Season 7 of 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days released episode 18 on December 29. Titled, Before We Say Goodbye, the episode documented Niles and Matilda's wedding festivities in Ghana.

As Niles got ready to go to Matilda's house to marry her, he was accompanied by Mr. Arc and his wife, who took his parents' place in their absence. This was after the previous episodes saw Niles' parents refusing to come to Ghana because they didn't like his marriage being filmed. Even when he cried, trying to convince them and telling them their visit didn't have to mean anything, they didn't show up.

At the wedding, Niles took to a confessional to say that his autism was making him more nervous because the festivities were a sensory overload. Adding to this, the fact that everyone was staring at him and that he needed to behave a certain way, got him even more nervous.

While Mr. Arc and his wife took care of most customs, fans of 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days thought his parents should've been there to support him.

"Niles should have had his parents on this trip. He absolutely needs guidance," a fan said.
"Niles' parents truly pushed that young man into marriage. SOMEBODY from his family needed to go and be there with him," said another.
"Shame on Niles parents for abandoning him Mr arc loves him more.. Mr arc is now his father. Good for Niles now he has a family," added a third.
"Time to go to Niles & Matilda's wedding. I'm sorry about Niles' parents. I wish he had their support regardless of how they feel about his decision. Niles needed it. SMH...," another wrote.

Some fans of 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Day Fiancé even supported Niles' parents' decision to not attend.

"Niles should have listened to his parents because he has no business getting married when he can’t even afford to pay for a wedding let alone support a family. This man has less then 200 in his bank account and no job," an X user wrote.
"Is Niles getting married because he loves Matilda, or to get back at his parents for not giving him their support?" another user wrote.
"Niles, you don't need your parent's approval to be happy. It's nice to have them & their blessing but sometimes you have to do things on your own," commented one.
"Mr. Arc is playing that 5th-dimensional chess to make Niles appreciate his old parents," another wrote.

Before heading to Matilda's house, Mr. Arc handed Niles some money that he tucked away safely into envelopes to hand out to some of Matilda's relatives, per custom.

When they arrived at Matilda's house, her house full of guests fell silent. Then the ladies started singing and clapping in unison, and gifts to the married couple started being brought in. This was when Niles said in a 90 Day Fiancé confessional that he was feeling a sensory overload because of his autism, and he was nervous because everyone was staring at him.

An elder told Mr. Arc that now they were going to ask their daughter one last time if she wanted to marry Niles for real. Niles took to a confessional to say that being in that situation without his parents by his side, he felt like backing out, but he was hoping he was doing the right thing.
