"Never on her side"— Sister Wives season 19 fans criticize Meri for defending Robyn 

Sister Wives season 19 premiered on Sunday, September 15, 2024. The segment saw the Brown family return to the screens as their complicated interpersonal relationships were showcased. Since the last time the show was on air, Meri, Christine, and Janelle had ended their relationship with Kody Brown.

Robyn remained the only sister wife still married to Kody, and episode one saw the two interacting with Christine for the first time in a year. Meri also reflected upon her former relationship with the family. While she criticized Kody for his treatment of her, she defended Robyn and said she had a good heart despite what some of the other family members believed.

Meri defends Robyn in Sister Wives season 19 premiere

In Sister Wives season 19 episode 1, titled, A House Divided Cannot Stand, Meri spoke to her friend Brandi about the end of her and Kidy Brown's relationship. Brandi asked her what was next for the TLC star and she said that she wasn't sure.

Brand said she was relieved for Meri since she wasn't getting what she needed out of her relationship with Kody for years. The latter said it was "heartbreaking" because it wasn't what she signed up for.

She added that Kody had been unfair to her and the other wives. In a confessional, Kody responded to Meri's claims and said it was "just as unfair" to him. She further spoke of Robyn and how the cast member didn't want a divided family.

In a confessional, Meri chimed in on the Sister Wives season 19 cast member. She said she didn't think Robyn had a "bad heart" and that there were a lot of people who felt differently.

"It's been hard because she and I were close at the very beginning, and I know she's always had my back," Meri said.
