The female cast member said that she had checked into a hotel after the two got into an argument that stemmed from Sarper not having a birthday gift for Shekinah. The male cast member wanted to buy her a vanity last minute, but Shekinah didn't want it. She added that the fight was unlike the ones they had in the past, as he "ripped" the phone out of her hand and ripped out her hair extensions.

Fans of the show took to social media to react to the couple's fight and were critical of Sarper's behavior. One person wrote on X:

In 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way season 6 episode 10, Shekinah told the cameras that she stayed in a hotel the previous fight after she and Sarper were in a fight. She stated that while they had been in fights before, he showed her a side of himself she had not previously seen. She said he snatched the phone from her hand and ripped out her hair extensions.

"I get it, he was triggered and he was upset but that side he showed me last night, I can never see it again. I can never see that side of him again," Shekinah said.

The 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way season 6 cast member stated that Sarper grabbing the phone from her was "so wrong."
