The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City season 5 aired part one of its reunion special on January 22, 2025. The segment saw the cast sit down with late-night talk show host, Andy Cohen, as they went over the events of the season, and attempted to resolve their issues.
During the segment, Andy Cohen asked newcomer Bronwyn Newport about her daughter, Gwen, and her relationship with her paternal grandparents. The cast member confronted Lisa Barlow about how she reacted when she discovered that she knew Gwen's grandparents. She further criticized Lisa for repeating a rumor she heard about Bronwyn's miscarrying Gwen.
After watching the segment, fans of the Bravo reality show were upset with Lisa's behavior at the reunion, while Bronwyn recalled their differences and also criticized the cast member for not siding with the latter against Gwen's grandparents.

In The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City season 5 reunion special, Andy Cohen asked Bronwyn and Lisa about their argument involving the latter's relationship with Bronwyn's daughter, Gwen's paternal grandparents.
The new cast member noted that when Lisa told her that her daughter looked like her, she felt she could confide in the cast member about her daughter looking like her late father. Bronwyn added their friendship was "falling apart" at the time, and she was letting Lisa in, but her responses felt like she was defending Gwen's grandparents.
Lisa explained that it was a sensitive situation for everyone involved because Gwen's grandmother didn't know of her granddaughter's existence as she believed Bronwyn had a miscarriage. The latter criticized The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star for talking about her having a miscarriage without confirming it in front of the cameras.
At the reunion, Bronwyn explained she didn't have an issue with Lisa believing Gwen's grandparents but was upset she brought it up on camera. She told The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City season 5 star that she could have apologized since it "caused rumors," and she had been a public figure long enough to know what it could do.
Lisa defended herself and called it a "very complicated position," and said she didn't want to hurt The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City season 5 star or her daughter. She added that if Bronwyn and the grandparents spoke, they could have figured something out.
"She’s not remorseful. She just keeps defending it," Bronwyn told Andy Cohen.
Fans of the Bravo show commented on the confrontation online and criticized Lisa's behavior at the reunion.
