The Circle season 7 episode 12 premiered on September 25, serving as the last episode leading up to the season finale. In the social media strategy show, the contestants had to set up a profile to play the game. They could either play as themselves or create a catfish profile to trick their cast mates.
Either way, they had to form alliances and maintain a top spot in the rankings to become the influencer and win the show. Madelyn and Rachel had to swap profiles earlier this season and formed an alliance in the process.
However, during a recent group chat, Rachel took shots at Madelyn, and she was confused as to why her alliance member did that. Madelyn wanted answers and invited Rachel for a private chat in episode 12 to explain herself. Madelyn started the conversation and wrote:

"Hi Rachel, you're probably surprised to be hearing from me. I'm not here to form a fake alliance. I simply just want the truth. What caused you to turn on me? Did I do something or was it just gameplay?"

Madelyn did not want to be the person who had arguments in The Circle Chat. However, she was confused by the fact that Rachel alluded in the group chat that she didn't trust her. Madelyn just wanted answers and to move on from the drama.
Rachel was not surprised to receive a private chat invitation from Madelyn and was ready for the confrontation. Before accepting the invitation Rachel said:
"I might have said a few things, and you might have said a few things. We threw some bad information out there about each other... I'm here for it."
When Madelyn asked her for an explanation, Rachel decided to play cool as she needed her support before the upcoming rankings. Rachel responded:
"I would like to start by saying in the last rating I rated you high and was shocked by where you ended up. I had a very emotional talk with Garret. We shared a lot, but one thing he said was you might not have my back."
Madelyn was not satisfied by her answer and knew that Rachel was not telling the truth. She responded and expressed what loyalty means to her. Madelyn told Rachel that she was always loyal to her and Kevin.
Madelyn shared that she even made sure that Kevin had a good relationship with Rachel, and thought her relationship with her was the strongest. She was heartbroken to find out that Rachel did not value their relationship as much as she did.
Rachel agreed that Madelyn was telling the truth and appreciated her help. She felt that they were nearly at the end of the game and everyone was emotional about their alliance being broken. However, they had to make hard decisions in order to win. The Circle season 7 contestant responded to Madelyn's text and wrote:
"I have had your back since the swap. Every person we wanted to block, WE'VE done it together. I was sobbing speaking with Garrett and when I saw his video, cried more. I let my emotions get the best of me in The Circle Chat and I shouldn't have. I'm so sorry. #SwapSistersForever."
Madelyn started to believe Rachel after reading her text. She texted her that she also shouldn't have spoken against her in The Circle group chat. Madelyn accepted Rachel's apology and apologized for her own mistake.
