One of the main storylines of season 8 was Chelsea Lazkani finding out about her ex-husband's alleged affair. Bre Tiesi, Chelsea's co-star, informed her of Jeff's behavior after she learned about it from her friend, Amanda Lynn, who also made an appearance on the show.
The show featured the aftermath of the revelation as Chelsea was convinced Bre told her on camera to get back at her for her comments about Bre and Nick Cannon's relationship in one of the previous seasons. She was certain that she and Amanda wanted to "take her down."
Amanda recently discussed the events of the season while in conversation with Us Weekly on September 11, 2024. She told the publication that she wished the whole situation had gone differently. She said that while she couldn't speak on behalf of Bre, she wished that Chelsea found out about the alleged affair "differently."
"So I feel like I stand by those things, but I'm not happy about the delivery of it," Amanda said.
She further called the "whole situation" "unfortunate." Amanda wished Chelsea "didn't get cheated on."

Amanda Lynn, who was the main source of the information, spoke to Us Weekly about the information she bought to camera and said that the situation was "unfortunate."
Amanda said she wished Chelsea "didn't get cheated on, to begin with. She added that the information was "put in" her hands, and she shared it with her friend Bre, who she had known forever.

The Selling Sunset season 8 star said that she didn't "weaponize" a sensitive situation and felt bad about what happened between Bre and Chelse. However, she said it was not her responsibility. Chiming in on the lunch scene Bre and Amanda filmed together, she said that producers wanted them to share the information about Chelsea.
She added that once everyone knew about the text, they wanted to see it. She explained that she did not go to lunch with the intention of showcasing what she had found out about Chelsea and Jeff.
