“Not normal” - Love is Blind Habibi fans criticize Simo for his fights with his costars

Love is Blind Habibi was released on October 10, on Netflix. The Middle Eastern version of the popular Netflix reality show was perfect for binge-watching as all of the 9 episodes were released together on the streaming platform.

Simo was one of the many eligible men, who came to find their forever love from the pods. He also got engaged to Hajar in the pods and moved on to the second phase of the show, a vacation to a lux Dubai resort.

While still in the pods, Simo got into a disagreement with Chafic, because he commented on Nour's perfume and called it stupid, after smelling it on the book she had gifted Chafic. His comments ticked Chafic off, who said Simo was jealous because he didn't receive any gifts.

He had another big fight with Chafic at the couple's mixer in episode 4 because he talked about Chafic's past. He fought with his number 1 match, Yasmine because he didn't feel special enough with her. His fiancé, Hajar also had disagreements with him, over several matters. Meanwhile, fans of Love is Blind Habibi criticized Simo for getting into these many tiffs.

I realised Simo was not normal when he argued with 5 women in the first minute of speaking to them," one fan said.

"Simo is literally a Disney villain. Why did he insult Nours perfume," another person said.

"Yooo Simo is so rude, out of pocket and disrespectful. How is gonna smell the book and tell that man that Naur's perfume is not good and it's stupid," another netizen said.

"Everybody has flaws but Simo what is wrong with you???? Why are your flaws too many??" another fan wrote.

Some Love is Blind Habibi fans pointed out the way he talked to the ladies of the show.

"The way Simo is talking to this woman in public I would be afraid to be alone with him at home," one X user said.

"The way Simo speaks to these ladies is so disgusting. What a horrible man. May he leave at the end of this experiment single!" another X user wrote.

"Simo is trash tbh, how you gonna be mad at girl for talking to other guys on a show when you’re doing the same thing??? Huh???" another person wrote.

"Simo is the scariest Moroccan I’ve ever seen. This man needs to be sectioned," another netizen commented.

While some netizens seem to agree with the points Simo made on the show.

"I’ll only side with Simo on this waitress issue. Cause why is Hajar proud that she’s rude? Who is raising these people?" one person said.

"i know that Simo is melodramatic and a diva but honestly he wasn’t wrong telling Chafic that the book from Nour is a gift and not a conversation! i respect Simo for that and i am starting to understand him more! he’s an honest man," another person said.

Some of Simo's arguments from Love is Blind Habibi

Simo's fight with Chafic in episode 4 of Love is Blind Habibi was the most aggressive one of the season. It happened after Simo told Dounia, "Some people from the pods knew each other," referring to Chafic's past with Nour, and added that everybody knew about it.

The statement made Dounia cry because her trust in Chafic had shaken as she thought she was the only one who didn't know about Chafic's past relationship with Nour. Chafic and Nour had chatted on Instagram a long time back, which Chafic had told Dounia about, yet Simo brought up the topic in a one-on-one with her, making her think he too knew about it.

The truth was that Simo had just found out about Chafic's contact with Nour and hadn't known it since before like he implied it to be. The fight escalated to a point where Simo said he would kick Chafic's "a*s" as the others pulled them back.

Simo also got into a disagreement with Yasmine in the episode 3. He got mad at her for talking to other men in the pods. He said he didn't feel special because she was dating other men. Yasmine cried in a confessional and said he made her raise her temper. She said that side of him was toxic.

Then on his vacation, on his date with Hajar in episode 4 of Love is Blind Habibi, when she asked the waitress to take the food back because she was done, Simo found her stance inappropriate and said she was being rude to the waitress. He then walked out.

Later in the episode of Love is Blind Habibi, he tells Hajar she can't go out alone with her girls because she needs to be respectful and stick to her man. Another fight erupted when Hajar cleaned up Nour's dirty dress. Simo asked Nour to turn around so he could see which part of the dress Hajar cleaned.

When he found no stains on it, he told Hajar that there was nothing to clean, accusing her of lying. Hajar said there were no stains because she had already cleaned them.

Hajar then straight up got the news that Simo had left the retreat, in episode 5. Simo, in a Love is Blind Habibi confessional, said that Hajar hadn't supported him during his fight with Chafic, which he didn't like, so he was leaving.
