"Shye i love shye, solid performance. But its not winning performance. We have seen better from shye, she needed more of a catcb factor. Overall shes amazing but not this performance for final"
"What is going on? Everyone sounds so weak tonight. Honestly, Shye ruined that song. Her voice was so monotone and weak. This season's final s*cks so far," a fan commented.
"Is this a popular song being performed by Sydney? I don’t get the song choice…sounds nervous & pitchy. No comparison to the first two…not even Shye. Sweet girl but sour voice tonight," a tweet read.
Some fans of The Voice season 26 praised Shye's performance:
"about shye's finale performance? the song choice is giving alanis morissette... BUT SHE REALLY BALANCED THE NOTES AND THE PITCH AND EVERYTHING. there are no words to describe the rest of the performance but DAMN SHES HONESTLY PRETTY GOOD," a person wrote.
"Shye putting her signature sound over an iconic song. She sounds so self-assured, resonant. This felt like a visiting celeb giving us a taste of her artistry. Enjoyed it!" a fan commented.
"Shye. Finally someone does a good job. Good song and good song choice for her voice. Well done!" a tweet read.
Fans of The Voice season 26 further said:
"I wanna say this shye performance is good and shye is doing a beautiful job with the song and this is not the right first song choice for shye too win the voice," a person wrote.
"the vocals of Shye is okay but her singing doesn’t make me feel a thing, what a waste of a good song by alannis," a fan commented.
