Big Brother season 26 released its latest episode on Thursday, September 26, 2024. The segment featured the double evictions of Leah and Angela. In the previous episode, Chelsie and Cam convinced the Head of Household (HoH) Makensy to place Leah on the block as Kimo's replacement nominee.
Although the decision was difficult, considering Leah was one of Makensy's closest friends in the house, the HoH executed Chelsie's plan, fearing resistance in the future. With the outcome almost pre-decided, Leah was the first to bid farewell to the house.
After Leah's eviction, the houseguests participated in the HoH and Power of Veto (PoV) competitions. Chelsie became the HoH and nominated Angela and Kimo. Kimo won the PoV and removed himself from harm's way. Although Chelsie placed Rubina in Kimo's stead, she confirmed her next target was Angela.
As a result of her efforts, Angela was the second houseguest evicted. With Leah and Angela out of the race, Chelsie, Cam, Makensy, Kimo, and Rubina became the finalists. However, fans were not pleased. They claimed the final five were undeserving since their gameplay was not as calculated and interesting as the ones eliminated. They took to X to share their opinion.
"we have officially lost the plot with this final five!" a fan wrote.
"I’m almost speechless at how terrible this f5 is," another fan commented.
"This five is so WEAK. Three don't mind losing and one got rid of her support group this week and now she's going to hang on to Chelsie like a Christmas light bulb to try to save her neck. Makensy, you will go on the block if you don't win HOH on Sunday," a netizen tweeted.
Some Big Brother season 26 fans claimed the final five who advanced in the competition were unexpected.
"No one can lie and say they predicted this F5 when this show started. Not a SINGLE one of you..." a user reacted.
"if you would've told me week one this would be the final 5 i wouldn't believe you," a person commented.
However, most Big Brother fans were unhappy with the outcome. While some said the season would turn "boring," others claimed none of them deserved to come so close to the finish line.
"the season is literally over... this boring a** final 5," another fan wrote.
"genuinely one of the worst final 5’s there is. three of them are completely useless. one of them is a puppet. and Chelsie is the only one who is actually deserving," a user tweeted.
"One puppet master 2 puppets: comp beast + comp flop 2 theatre kids Welcome to the Final 5!" another person reacted.
"The fact that boring a** Cam Rubina and Kimo are still in the house in the final 5 is criminal," one netizen commented.
Big Brother season 26 star Chelsie orchestrated both eliminations
Since Makensy became the HoH, Chelsie constantly attempted to convince her to take Kimo down from the block and place Leah as his replacement. She made it known that the two houseguests she wanted gone from the Big Brother house were Leah and Angela.
However, in a private conversation with Cam, Chelsie confessed her other target was Makensy. She intended to weaken Makensy's position in the house by removing her allies, Leah and Angela. Consequently, she convinced Makensy that Leah was untrustworthy and could flip on her anytime. Unwilling to hamper her relationship with Chelsie, Makensy turned against Leah, eliminating her.
Once Leah was eliminated, Chelsie steered her attention to Angela, who had been her target for a while. After a tight competition, Chelsie outperformed the others and became the HoH. With the power in her hand, she immediately informed Cam and the others that "Angela goes out." Everyone obeyed.
As a result, at the live elimination ceremony, all three contestants, Kimo, Cam, and Makensy voted to evict Angela. By a vote of 3-0, Angela became the newest jury member, following Leah. After Angela exited the Big Brother house, she confessed to host Julie Chen Moonves that the houseguests made the right decision by evicting her because had she stayed, she would have won the show.
With Leah and Angela out of the picture, Chelsie, Cam, Kimo, Rubina, and Makensy became the final five.
Big Brother season 26 airs on Sundays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, only on CBS.
