In Dancing with the Stars season 33 episode 7, Stephen and Rylee performed a Contemporary dance to I Ran (So Far Away). Ahead of his performance, the cast member opened up about being afraid of the dark. He said that he had no perception of depth without his glasses and that bright lights were painful for him.

He received a 28 out of 30 for his performance along with praises from the judges. Bruno told the Olympian that he had found his "dramatic persona" and that he was "totally lost into character." He added that the Dancing with the Stars season 33 contestant had become someone else and gave them something "special and beautiful."

"Stephen, you might be Superman, but I'm Superwoman," Jenn replied.

Rylee and Stephen won the dance-off but found themselves at the bottom along with Jenn and Sasha and Chandler and Brandon.

Fans of the show praised Stephen and Rylee's performance online and said the pair should have gotten 10s for their performance.
