"One for the history books" — Big Brother season 26 fans react to the Veto meeting in the latest episode

Big Brother season 26 aired its latest episode on Wednesday, August 7, 2024. Nominated contestants Tucker Des Laueriers, Kenney Kelly, and Angela Murray were given one last opportunity to secure their positions in the house by winning the Power of Veto (PoV) challenge.

While Angela and Kenney focused on gaining immunity, Tucker had bigger plans brewing. He intended to win the PoV, take Angela off the block, and renominate Quinn as a replacement. However, the Big Brother Head of Household (HoH) Cedric was not on board with the idea. Later, Tucker won the PoV, took Angela off the block, and shocked everyone.

Cedric surprised the cast members by revealing Makensy's name as the replacement. Makensy then activated America's Veto power to remove herself from elimination. Fans of the show thought the Veto ceremony was unexpected and full of twists. They took to X to react to everything that unfolded between the cast members following the PoV challenge.

Big Brother season 26 had already hosted a couple of veto ceremonies since the start of the show, but according to the fans, nothing compared to the drama that the recent one provided them with.

Big Brother PoV winner Tucker wanted to use his power to take out his competitors

Tucker competed against Angela, Kenney, Cedric, Makensy, and Leah in the PoV challenge, in a game called Recharge My Core. Tucker's performance outshined the others and he managed to earn the veto. Soon, he went to Cedric to convince him to use his "crazy plan" and save Angela.

The Big Brother cast member urged Cedric to nominate Quinn as a replacement. He wanted to "take out one of the strongest players in the house" with Quinn's eviction. However, Cedric seemed conflicted since he wished to put Makensy on the block to flush out her upgrade power.

At the Veto ceremony, Tucker surprised everyone, especially Angela, by granting her immunity.

"It's time to get the competitors out. That's my decision and I'm sticking with it," said Tucker.

To Tucker's disbelief, Cedric nominated Makensy instead of Quinn. The decision did not sit well with Tucker, as he called Cedric's plan a "stupid a** idea." The Big Brother cast member apologized to Makensy because it was not how he intended the ceremony to unfold. However, Makensy activated her America's Veto power, to remove herself from danger.

Soon, AI Ainsley appeared to announce that the viewers would select the third nominee moments before the AI Arena competition on eviction night. Meanwhile, Tucker and Makensy vowed to target Cedric in the future for blindsiding them.
