Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 5 episode 12 was released on December 30. Titled Fraught Mess, the episode documented the crew dealing with a tough charter. While Daisy and Gary went out to get drinks, sparks of chemistry flew between Danni and Chase as well.
The previous episode saw Diana and Chase growing closer and even admitting in confessionals that they were interested in one another. But after the group's drunk night ended with Chase and Danni making out and leaving for their room together, Diana didn't stand a chance.
Daisy was there at the group's drunken night, and she saw the two kiss in front of Diana. So in episode 5, she asked Diana how she felt and also asked her if she would hook up with Chase now.

Diana said no and added that she thought she was vibing with Chase but said that he wanted it the easy way, so he got Danni. She also stated that she thought Danni saw everything as a competition, which was why she got with him. Fans of Below Deck Sailing Yacht took to X to react to their dynamic.

Apart from Diana telling Daisy she wasn't interested in Danni anymore, another highlight of the Below Deck Sailing Yacht episode was Daisy and Gary going out to drink. This was especially important because Gary had quit alcohol for a while because he wanted to get rid of his old heavy drinking habits.
Here, he asked her what she thought of being in a relationship with him. Daisy said he needed to work more on himself before he thought of jumping into a relationship. He said she could help him be a better person, to which she said she could do that while being friends with him.
Apart from that, the crew also had to deal with charter guests who weren't happy with the service. While they appreciated the food, they were upset when Daisy spilled water on their table while serving them. Another guest was upset with the drink and called it "cough syrup."
The crew replaced their drinks and also took special care of the food. They also weren't happy with the rooms, as one of the guests thought it looked like her college dorm. Towards the end of the episode, they complained to Captain Glenn that they expected to get what they paid for. What happened next was left for the next episode, as this one ended on a cliffhanger.
