“Pascal is insincere”—Love is Blind: Germany fans criticize Shella for getting engaged to the cast member

Love is Blind: Germany premiered with four episodes on January 4, 2025. Yet another addition to a wide array of shows from the Love is Blind franchise, the German version saw the participants getting to know each other in the pods, falling in love, getting engaged, and moving on to the honeymoon phase.

While still in the pods, Shella dated Pascal and Fabio, and both men also dated Alberta. Shella and Pascal faced a dilemma about who to choose. While Fabio expressed his feelings for Shella, Pascal was still unsure. In episode 3 of Love is Blind: Germany, Pascal said in a confessional that he still needed time to make his decision, even after he wrote a letter for Shella, expressing how he felt about her.

Eventually, he decided to choose Shella and let Alberta go. Fabio did the same, so it was upto Shella to choose between the two men who were available to her. She decided to go with Pascal.

Fans of Love is Blind: Germany on X, criticized Shella for choosing a man who didn't open up to her in the pods and said that he didn't see her as a fiancé while they were on their honeymoon.

"Pascal is insincere.... how can people not see that?! He doesn't like Shella," a fan said.

"Shella needs my mom rn cause my mom would be screaming at the screen!!! “GO FOR THE MAN THAT OPENS UP TO YOU” Pascal ain’t even told her he likes her ?? This bout to be on some Benniah ishhh," said another.

"Welp #loveisblindgermany stressed me out. Shella and Pascal? I dunno Shella, he's not...," added a third.

"I'm not sure about Pascal for Shella he doesn't seem all in," another wrote.

Some fans of Love is Blind: Germany pointed out the letter that Pascal wrote to Shella and said that it wasn't good enough for Shella to have chosen him.

"Why did she pick Pascal??? He said a whole bunch of nothing in that letter," an X user wrote.

"Pascal wrote her a letter saying the same thing that he told her in the pod!" another user wrote.

"I’m on Ep. 3 and I am. VERY confused as to what Shella sees in Pascal over Fabio….," commented one.

"Oh wow, oh wow, not Shella picking Pascal after Fabio dumped Alberta. Oh, my days, I didn't see that coming," another wrote.

Shella's dates with Pascal vs. her dates with Fabio on Love is Blind: Germany

After her dates with both Fabio and Pascal, Shella opened up to Hannah in the women's lounge area. She said she was confused and detailed that Fabio was "very emotional", he made her feel safe and they could openly talk about anything on their dates. She added that she was reluctant to choose Fabio because she still had Pascal at the back of her mind.

On her date with Pascal, Shella found that her views about starting a family matched well with Pascal as he wanted the same things. This was when she asked him if he was developing feelings for her because she was starting to get "comfortable" with him. Pascal replied:

"Personally, I'm not ready, of course, to say that I can see myself proposing to you."

He added that he was prepared to give her the time to get to that point. He clarified that he was the type of person who needed a lot of communication to be attracted to someone.

On her date with Fabio, Shella said that she liked a man who showed his feelings and asked him if he was like that. Fabio said yes and explained that he would never hesitate to tell a woman if he loved her. After her date, in a Love is Blind: Germany confessional, Shella mentioned that she felt secure with Fabio because he opened up to her.
