In the latest episode, Troy and Zeruiah planned to go to Buffalo to meet the former's daughter and her mother. While Troy looked forward to reuniting with his child, Zeruiah felt apprehensive about the situation. She was convinced that the meeting would adversely affect her relationship with her beau.

Recalling her psychic's warnings about Troy's ex-partner, Yona, re-entering his life, Zeruiah felt hesitant about meeting Troy's daughter. Zeruiah's anger peaked when she discovered that he had spoken to his child's mother about their meeting. As a result, she refused to accompany him on the trip, asking him not to bother her anymore.

Love After Lockup fans took to X to criticize Zeruiah's behavior. They thought she was too insecure and could negatively impact his relationship with his daughter.

Previously, the Love After Lockup cast member's psychic warned her to maintain a distance from Troy's ex-partner because she had a strong hold over Troy. She also said that there were chances she would reconnect with him after causing their breakup. Zeruiah was convinced "something bad could happen."

Ultimately, Zeruiah urged Troy to go alone, stating it made no sense for her to meet his daughter. She called his baby's mother a "b*tch" and refused to accompany Troy. Even when he offered her other options, she rejected them. She accused him of invalidating her feelings and having secret conversations with Yona.
