"Pissed me off"— Love After Lockup fans react to Jakeema's twins calling Donny "dad"

Love After Lockup season 5 aired episode 53, as part of its Love During Lockup special, on Friday, December 27, 2024. Jakeema spoke to Donny via a video call and the female cast member told him that she informed her children about Donny being in prison.

In a flashback of Jakeema's conversation with her children, she asked them if they still loved him and her kids said yes. When Donny found out about the kids knowing where he was, he asked to speak to them and while conversing, the twins called him dad.

Jakeema's children talk to Donny in Love After Lockup season 5 episode 53

In Love After Lockup season 5 episode 53, Donny video called Jakeema from prison and told her he might get transferred to another prison. The female cast member told Donny that she spoke to her children that he was in prison and in a flashback, the kids asked why he was in prison but Jakeema didn't tell them.

She asked how they felt about it and one of her children said that he was sad because Donny was in prison. In response, the Love After Lockup season 5 cast member told Jakeema that he didn't want them to know he was incarcerated and asked if he could speak to him.

"My kids really really love him, they're always gonna be his sons," Jakeema told the cameras.

The Love After Lockup season 5 star further said that Donny would always be their dad. As the kids spoke to Donny, they asked him what he did that he had to go to prison. He told them that he was being a "real bad boy" and selling drugs. He told the children that it wasn't the way to live and it wasn't something he would do again.

"Dad, you don't deserve to be there," one of the boys said.

Donny asked the kids if they called him "dad" and they said yes. He told them that he loved both of them and assured them he wouldn't leave them after he returned.
