“Playing the long game”— Love Island: All Stars fans react to Ekin Su picking Curtis over Scott

Love Island: All Stars season 2 released its episode 2 on January 14, after premiering the day before. The premiere episode saw the participants getting paired based on public votes and also saw the entry of the season's first bombshell, Ekin Su.

The episode ended without knowing who Ekin Su picked to take on dates, which is where Love Island: All Stars episode 2 started. She picked Curtis, Scott, and Ronnie to go on dates with, and later in the episode, she chose to steal Curtis from his publicly paired partner, Kaz.

Fans of Love Island: All Stars thought this odd because she spent the majority of her time with Scott and seemed more inclined towards him than she did with Curtis. Some fans on X thought she might have chosen Curtis temporarily until she got to Scott slowly.

"Ekin Su is playing the long game with Scott with Curtis as a placeholder, girlie is in it to win it," a fan said.

"Choosing Curtis after chatting to Scott all day... Ar Ekin still keeping everyone on their toes like always," another fan said.

"Albeit, Curtis has chemistry with everyone, I think he has better chemistry with Catherine and I wanna see them together instead of him and Ekin. Or even Kaz. I see Ekin and Scott working out better but that’s just me. I guess we’ll see," added a third.

"Okay but can we all agree Ekin picked Curtis cuz she wants to play push and pull with Scott? Even though Scott is into her he said he’s unsure about taking the “risk” so my girl said your wish and picked option no2..," another wrote.

Some fans of Love Island: All Stars also pointed out that Ekin Su wasn't actually interested in Curtis.

"Game plan from Ekin Su, she has zero interest in Curtis. She wants Scott to approach her....," an X user wrote.

"Ekin going for Curtis? I feel it may be because she doesn’t want to fight with India over Scott," another user wrote.

"Ekin Su & Curtis don’t go at all!! He’s definitely a placeholder for someone else she’s hoping to walk into the villa later," commented one.

"Curtis is turning into a dad now!! He wants Ekin Su bad!! But Scott is very intimidated by her!!" another wrote.

What went down with Ekin Su on Love Island: All Stars season 2 episode 2?

After Ekin Su picked Ronnie, Curtis, and Scott to go on a date with, she took them all to The Secret Garden for a group date. Ekin asked them to be seated so they could pop some champagne, to which Ronnie said:

"May the best man win."

Ekin said it was her dream to be in a room with three good-looking men. She said Scott was giving her the eye, and chatting with her, Curtis was looking at her the whole time, while Ronnie was going shy, red, and giggly and was downing his prosecco.

As the Love Island: All Stars men mingled with Ekin, their pairs— Kaz, India, and Elma— were secretly trying to eavesdrop while standing outside The Secret Garden door.

That night, Curtis asked Ronnie how he would feel if Ekin chose him, and he jokingly replied that he would be in her bed. The next morning, Curtis got Ekin some coffee in the women's dressing room, which didn't sit well with Kaz as she was pictured with a sad face.

Before choosing Curtis, Ekin and he talked about how Ekin lived in the same building as his ex-girlfriend and Love Island fame Maura Higgins. Curtis was shocked at the fact that they were friends and refused to comment on the same.
