The Voice season 26 aired a brand new episode this week on Monday, November 4, 2024. The segment saw the remaining contestants pairing up with another member of the same team as the Battles concluded.

In the latest episode, coach Reba McEntire sent Tanner Frick and Tate Renner for a duet performance on Need a Favor by Jellyroll. The coach explained that she was hoping one of them would get stolen.

Their performance was met with praise by the coaches and the audience online. Commenting on their performance on social media, one person wrote on X:

Reba McEntire pairs up Tate Renner and Tanner Frick to sing Need a Favor during The Voice season 26 Battles Part 5

In The Voice season 26 episode 11, Battles Part 5, Team Reba sent Tanner Frick and Tate Renner against one another as they sang a duet. The coach explained that she believed they could handle it but Tanner could sing any Country song.

"It's a real edgy song. It's really good for Tate, because of that gravel in his voice, like Chris Stapleton," Reba said while explaining her choice of song.

Their performance was met with praise by the judges. Chiming in on Reba's impending decision, Gwen Stefani said it would be a "really tough" choice. However, she added that she wasn't worried because Reba McEntire was the "Queen of Country" and believed she would know what to do.

Michael Bublé appreciated both the singers and hinted that he might steal whoever Reba didn't pick. The Voice season 26 coach said that although Tate had "that gravel" in his voice Tanner could "throw on that effect" whenever he wanted. He added that he didn't want to say anything negative about either of the contestants since he still had a "Steal."

Meanwhile, Snoop Dogg said that the best part of the battle was when two singers complimented each other. He said it was "characteristic" of both of them and wanted to commend them.

"Y'all know that y'all pulled off a great performance," the famed rapper said.

The Voice season 26 coach, Reba McEntire praised the singers before revealing her decision. She said they both played their "b*tts off" and were great. She said there as some "snaky harmony parts" and the singers got it "perfectly."

"I was so proud of you. So proud. And I have no clue," she added.

The Voice season 26 judge made a choice and picked Tate Renner, while Michael Bublé stole Tanner Frick.

Fans of the NBC show reacted to the performance online and praised the singer's rendition of the song.
