Big Brother season 26 premiered on Wednesday, July 17. The much-awaited season featured a new AI-inspired house. All contestants would stay inside the house, participating in several challenges to progress the competition. The season promises cut-throat competition as each contestant aims to win the $750,000 grand prize.
The premiere showcased the entry of the first eight cast members — Tucker, Angela, Kimo, Chelsie, Cam, Rubina, Joseph, and Makensy. They voted to bring in the house's seventeenth member, a 24-year-old San Diego resident, Ainsley. The votes were equally divided for and against, disapproving of Ainsley's entry. However, it was revealed that Ainsley was the BB AI and not a cast member.
The people who voted yes were allowed to earn an advantage by winning the next challenge called Color Calibration. Makensy was one of the four members who voted "yes" and seemed excited to play the game, which required her to correctly arrange a color sequence after sitting on a high-speed spinning chair. The Big Brother cast member won the first challenge, earning herself a game upgrade.
Fans were impressed by her gameplay and took to X to express their views about her competitive personality.
"Makensy, you better show them out there that us Mackenzie's have got it going on! YAS QUEEN SLAY! #BB26," one netizen wrote.
"Oh Makensy bout to win 4 hohs and take out my favs im already knowing #bb26," another person wrote.

While others struggled to maintain their balance on the high-speed spin chair, Big Brother cast member Makensy wowed the viewers as they managed to keep her composure.
"kinda need to stan makensy the way she crossed her legs to spin in that chair #Bb26," a fan tweeted.
"Makensy was serving face on that chair #BB26," another person commented.
"how the f**k did makensy manage that #bb26," one netizen wrote.
"the fact that Makensy said nothing and got it so quick #BB26," a fan wrote.
Some Big Brother fans were quick to assume that Makensy would pose a threat to the other competitors moving ahead in the show.
"Makensy already starting her comp domination #bb26," a person wrote.
"Loving what I see from Makensy so far. That girl is gonna win multiple hohs and hopefully will put Kenny on the block. #BB26," another person commented.
Big Brother season 26 cast member Makensy wins the first challenge, earning a game upgrade
Makensy Manbeck is a 22-year-old construction project manager from Houston. She entered the show determined not to let her weaknesses or vulnerabilities show in front of her competitors. As a construction manager, Makensy interacted with men daily and said it felt "nice" since she could be herself and let them know "not to mess" with her.
However, the Big Brother cast member revealed she would not hesitate to join forces with a man to advance in the competition.
"If I need to use a man, a man will be used," said Makensy.
She grew up as a professional volleyball player and claimed to be "super competitive." On the premiere of Big Brother season 26, Makensy and her fellow co-stars Joseph, Rubina, and Angela voted "yes" for the entry of Ainsley without knowing they voted for the BB AI.
Since they voted in favor of BB AI, they were granted a special opportunity to compete in a challenge that would give them an advantage that could upgrade their game.
"The houseguests who voted yes would compete to receive a secret power, giving their Big Brother game a significant upgrade," said BB AI.
The cast members who voted "no" played in a different game, whose loser, Chelsie, got a downgrade. The four who voted "yes" competed in the Color Calibration game.
Angela struggled to focus while the chair spun disrupting her ability to memorize the color sequence. Joseph and Rubina were surprised by the speed of the chair. Meanwhile, Makensy appeared calm and finished the game, securing the advantage. However, the nature of the upgrade was not disclosed yet.
Big Brother season 26 is set to showcase a two-night premiere on July 17 and 18 at 9 pm ET only on CBS.
