“Quite a charmer”- 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way fans react to Sarper’s proposal to Shekinah

90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way season 6 episode 20 was released on November 11, 2024. The episode titled He's Just Not That Into US saw Shekinah and Sarper start their journey to a happily ever after.

Fans of the show are aware of Shekinah and Sarper's marriage thanks to their joint Instagram page, @shekinahsarper90day. The page has a lot of pictures of the two of them together and with their families. However, not all the fans saw the moment coming a week before the Tell Alls of the season.

For his proposal, Sarper took Shekinah boating on the Turkish Sea, sailing between Asia and Europe. He then sang a song that he had written for her and declared he wanted to marry her. He said that since he hated the yes or no questions, he declared that he would marry her instead of asking her to marry him.

Fans of 90 Day Fiancé took to X to react to his proposal to her, with many claiming that he was "quite the charmer" as others stated that they began liking him after the proposal.

"I must confess Sarper is quite the charmer when he proposed," said one fan.

"I can't believe I'm going to say this...but Sarper has cracked hacked my password, logged into me, and changed all my default settings one by one. I actually REALLY like him now!!!" said another fan.

"I liked everything about Sarper’s proposal except when he said, “I will marry you,” instead of “Will you marry me?” It wasn’t a language error—it was the way a true narcissist does a proposal!," a third fan added.

"I gotta admit that was a very Impressive marriage proposal, Sarper did," another wrote.

Most fans of 90 Day Fiancé praised the way Sarper proposed, while some thought he had other intentions. They said that while they understood that the proposal was supposed to be sweet, they felt that Sarper sounded "horrible."

"Sarper went all out with the proposal it was cheesy and she ate it. If only he had done it with secret intentions to make her stay in Turkey," an X user wrote.

"I know this is supposed to be a sweet moment but Sarper sounds horrible," another X user wrote.

"Sarper, you can't sing and you didn't really propose by saying "I will marry you" because you hate yes or no questions," commented one.

Sarper's proposal to Shekinah on episode 20 of 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way season 6

While on a night boat ride in episode 20 of 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way season 6, Sarper took Shekinah up on the deck before singing a song for her. He also showed her that Europe was on one side of their boat while Asia was on the other. He claimed that people from two continents were looking at their special moment.

Sarper then told his partner that he had written a song for her.

"If I come to this world once more, again, I would find you and love you again. I would never change even a hair of yours, to the heaven, as long as I leave, till to the end of my life, I would you again," he said.

He then went down on one knee and fished out a ring and said, "I will marry you," instead of asking her the traditional question, "Will you marry me?" Shekinah said he was her perfect man and said that she loved the ring.

The 90 Day Fiancé cast member asked her to turn around and showed her the "Marry me, Shekinah" sign that was blinking at a distance under the sea bridge. He clarified to her that he didn't like asking yes or no questions so he declared it instead of asking her and she accepted it.
