Former Bachelorette star Rachel Lindsay is currently facing a big loss as she has to pay "temporary spousal support for $13,257 per month" to her former chiropractor husband, Bryan Abasolo, as per court order.
According to the documents obtained by People magazine, Abasolo has been seeking alimony from Lindsay since he filed for divorce from the reality TV star in January. He cited "irreconcilable differences" as the reason for separation after four years of marriage.
The former couple made virtual appearances in court on July 10, 2024, as part of their ongoing divorce proceedings. After back and forth over the chiropractor's request for spousal support, the presiding judge granted his wishes.
Besides paying for spousal support starting July 15, Lindsay also has to pay a total of $20,000 related to her former husband's legal fees within the next 60 days.
Inside Rachel Lindsay's messy divorce from Bryan Abasolo
News of Rachel Lindsay and Bryan Abasolo's divorce broke in January, which confirmed that the chiropractor had filed to end their marriage in court documents dated December 31, 2023. It came around six years since he proposed to Lindsay in the season 13 finale of The Bachelorette in 2017 and their wedding in August 2019.
Subsequent court documents that Abasolo filed in May seeking temporary spousal support revealed that the two remained together in their family home despite their ongoing divorce. However, living under the same roof as his former wife was "awkward and strained," according to the chiropractor.
Talking about seeking spousal support from the reality TV star, he wrote in the document:
"I placed my career as a chiropractor on hold to move twice for Rachel's career. These moves were detrimental to my chiropractic business, while Rachel's income and success as a media personality skyrocketed."

While he claimed to want to move out of their home, Abasolo added in the filing that it wasn't "financially feasible" at the moment. He also claimed to be only making $1,300 a month in the same documents, further asking Lindsay to shoulder his legal fees worth $75,000 for the divorce.
Rachel Lindsay filed to oppose her former husband's spousal support request late in June, saying that Abasolo's claims were "not supported by competent evidence." The former Bachelorette star also slammed her ex for misrepresenting his income and inflating his expenses in the filing.
Finances have been a hot topic between the former couple since the news of their split broke out as they don't have a prenup.
In a June episode of Hidden Gems with Natasha Parker, Rachel Lindsay talked about not having a prenup during her marriage with Abasolo as they weren't on the same page about it and she "didn't want it to be a bigger issue."
While Abasolo initially asked Lindsay for $16,275 monthly, the judge had only granted him 80% of the sum he requested. The ex-couple is due to return to court for a mandatory settlement conference, which is scheduled in September.
