The Real Housewives of New York City season 15 released episode 12, A Tantrum and a Truce, on Tuesday, December 17, 2024. The episode featured Racquel reuniting with her mother, Marian, after six years, and inviting the other housewives to share a meal with her. While everyone mingled, Jenna arrived and unsettled the ambiance by greeting the ladies with a kiss on the lips in front of Marian.
Racquel was excited to meet her mother and wanted to have fun introducing her to her partner, Mel, and the children. In one of the segments of the episode, Racquel revealed that her mother was not too fond of her dating another woman. She mentioned that it was one of the major reasons she refused to visit.
Consequently, the meeting in the latest episode was a significant moment for Racquel, that she wanted to share with her friends. The get-together which started on a good note as Marian interacted with everyone, turned awkward when Jenna arrived and greeted some of the housewives with a kiss, making Marian uncomfortable.

The Real Housewives of New York City fans flocked to X to disapprove of Jenna's behavior. They deemed it inappropriate and disrespectful towards Racquel's mother.
"Jenna kissing everyone on the lips in front of Racquel’s mum is actually irritating and disrespectful knowing the situation. READ THE ROOM!" a fan wrote.

Many fans of The Real Housewives of New York City criticized Jenna and the other ladies who engaged in the activity in front of Racquel's mother.

Marian arrived at Racquel's house with her boyfriend, Santiago. After six years of not seeing Racquel, she was overjoyed to meet and hug her daughter. Racquel was equally excited and looked forward to introducing her to the other housewives.
Jessel, Brynn, Sai, and Ubah gave Marian a warm welcome, complimenting her outfit and appearance.
"Someone who hasn't seen or talked to their own biological mother in 15 years, I can only imagine if I were her, I'd be having an out-of-body experience right now," Brynn said.
Racquel then wanted The Real Housewives of New York City cast to try her "comfort food" bacalao— essentially dried and salted fish. While speaking to the cameras, she revealed that it was one dish she requested her mother to make any time she was unwell.
While they enjoyed their meal, Jenna arrived and greeted Marian. Then she greeted Brynn with a kiss on the lips. Ubah and Sai watched in disbelief.
"How bizarre," Sai said.
Jenn then tried to kiss Sai but she stopped her, saying "don't you dare." The Real Housewives of New York City star went on and kissed Ubah and Erin, while Marian and Santiago watched silently. Meanwhile, Jessel complained about being left out.
