Love Island Australia season 6 finally made it to its finale on December 16 after premiering on October 28. When the participants entered the villa, they paired up with potential matches and kept changing them as the episodes progressed. The final week of the show witnessed six couples competing for the title.
However, Dylan and Sophie were among the couples who got into a tiff during the finale. It was during the Love Island Australia Trush Bike challenge, where the participants who rode the bike were asked questions that they had to answer truthfully. While on the bike, Dylan mentioned that he didn't like Sophie's closeness with her former match, Zane.
He noted that she held his hand in the club and said that it hurt him. Sophie, on the other hand, refused to accept what Zane was trying to insinuate and reiterated that she had no feelings for Zane. This fight between the two became a subject of interaction among the Love Island Australia fans, who flocked to X to comment on the same.
"Dylan asking Sophie if she okay after tearing her down during the truth bike… He’s such a red flag, good luck Mimi," said one fan.
"Too toxic! Sophie is a gaslighter and manipulator After doing nasty stuff with her ex Zane in Cassa hotel, Dylan decided to forgive Now outside the villa holding hands with with Zane wit funny body language in a club and she has the nerves to call Dylan delusional," said another.
"Sophie rates Zane too much, why was she holding his hand? Zane irritates every single nerve I have," added a third.
"They were going into a night club. It was crowded. Zane was infront of her. He held his hand out, so they don’t lose each other as they are all linking arms. She did. Dylan saw and got jealous. That’s a Dylan problem not a Sophie problem," commented one.
Some Love Island Australia fans sided with Dylan, while others defended Sophie, leaving the internet divided.
"I blame Zane. He lead Sophie until something better came along the entire show. He was interested in pursuing her then Kaylah came in. Then him and Sophie got chosen to go to Hotel Amor and he was back interested…basically telling her he was going to choose her…," an x user wrote.
"Not Em trying to save Sophie and Dylan and I get Dylan thinking Sophie was jealous of another girl Zane talked about; in the villa, she acted like that as well. Don’t get why both of them even try atp," wrote another.
"Sophie girl… I want better for her so bad but tbh it starts with her. She can’t take full accountability for nothinggg and her conversations are never productive, pushing a crashout every time. Girl stand up and own your sh*tttt," commented one.
"Dylan wants to drive Sophie mad .. I’m glad they are not together cus this boy will keep reminding her about Zane for the rest of her life," wrote one.
The Truth Bike conversation between Dylan and Sophie on Love Island Australia season 5 finale
When Dylan was on the Love Island Australia Truth Bike, he admitted to arguing with Sophie the night before. Clarifying what happened, Sophie said that when they had gone to the club, it was crowded so she held Zane's hand for a moment, which got Dylan jealous.
Dylan replied that wasn't the only thing which hurt him. He added that he judged the room, which made him think Sophie still thought of Zane. When Sophie asked for examples, Dylan shared that when they were discussing Zane's love life outside the villa, Sophie's language changed and it seemed like she was jealous. To this, Sophie called him delusional and said it was crazy for Zane to be thinking so.
