“Return to sender” — Love Island USA fans react to Kassy's season 6 entry

Love Island USA season 6 aired a brand new episode this week on Monday, July 15, 2024. During the segment, the cast was introduced to two new faces, Maura Higgins, the host of Love Island UK, and a new bombshell who previously participated in the dating reality show.

Although fans were aware of Kassy Castillo's appearance as it was announced a few weeks ago, they were not on board with the cast member entering the show. They were further opposed to the idea after seeing the results of the Heart Rate Challenge, during which, the bombshell raised Miguel's heart rate the most. This made fans fearful for Miguel and Leah's relationship.

A viewer wrote on X:

Love Island USA season 6 fans felt that Kassy's entry might distract Miguel, leading to Leah getting dumped and eliminated.

Love Island USA season 6 fans further said that Kassy arrived with "zero confidence."

Love Island USA: Kassy returns during the Heart Rate challenge

Love Island USA season 6 episode 31 marked the return of season 5 runner-up Kassy Castilo. During the segment, she was the last person to perform in the Heart Rate challenge and her presence surprised the cast members.

She first made her way to Kenny while JaNa yelled from a distance for her partner to "relax." She then approached Rob, who she already knew from the previous season, and the two were caught up as she gave him a dance.

"Good to see you again," Kassy said.

The Love Island USA season 6 female islanders watched from a distance and were unhappy with the male cast members' reactions. Nicole wondered why the men were clapping while the bombshell danced for Kendall. Kaylor said "leave him alone" when the newcomer made her way to Aaron.

However, they were all uncomfortable as Kassy went toward Miguel. Leah said:

"Oh, oh, wait. I think she's doing her big one with Miguel."

Later when the results were announced, Maura Higgins revealed that the bombshell raised Miguel's heart rate the most. Love Island USA fans took to social media after watching the episode and were unhappy with Kassy's return.
