The Real Housewives of Potomac season 9 aired on October 2024. The long-reigning series once again brought with itself its long-standing feuds. Gizelle Bryant and Mia Thronton's beef also escalated a bit more in season 9 after the latter commented on one of Gizelle's daughters.
After Gizelle criticized Mia's parenting style, the latter bit back and revealed a story Gizelle had told her in confidence long back. She mentioned that when Gizelle's daughter had snuck a boy in, she criticized Gizelle's parenting style and hurt her. When she appeared on The Breakfast Club Podcast on December 12, she called Mia out for discussing her children on a reality show and said:
"She's dead to me. She'll never be alive".
Mia Thornton took to her Instagram to comment on a post that consisted of a clip from the podcast. She said:
"Return to sender! Be careful when you wish Death on on God's Child".
The Real Housewives of Potomac star Mia Thornton bites back at co-star Gizelle Bryant's comment
On The Breakfast Club Podcast, the host asked Gizelle why she said Mia was dead to her. She explained that it was because she brought up her children on a reality TV show, which was why she said Mia was dead to her.
Commenting on this, Mia came to Instagram and alleged that Gizelle acted completely normal when she met her. She detailed that Gizelle greeted her, saying, "Hi Mama Mia". She continued:
"Then proceeded to sit down with her rent a man shoulder to shoulder with me at the love lagoon."
She added that Gizelle was "All Kikiki," which meant she was laughing. She stated that two or three episodes later, Gizelle had changed and was mad all of a sudden. Some fans of The Real Housewives of Potomac, in the comment section, pointed out that Gizelle actually didn't have an immediate reaction to Mia's comment and got angry a little later. Others sided with Gizelle.
What else did The Real Housewives of Potomac star Gizelle say about Mia on The Breakfast Club podcast?
On the podcast, speaking of the time Mia brought up Gizelle's daughter, Gizelle said that she found talking ill about children "disgusting." She added that they didn't sign up for any of it, so talking about them was off the limits. She continued:
"If you wanna come for me, come for me, you don't have to bring my children into this".
She said it was a "point of no return" for her. She shared that she and Mia were friends off-camera, too, but their relationship was over now. Talking about where Mia's comment stemmed from, The Real Housewives of Potomac star stated that one does it when they're desperate and think that comments like that will elevate them.
She added that, unfortunately, that didn't work out for her because nobody was buying into it. Then, when the host asked if Mia ever apologized, Gizelle said that she was given ample opportunities to do so, but instead of apologizing, Mia just "doubled and tripled down on it."
New episodes of The Real Housewives of Potomac season 9 come out on Sundays at 8 pm ET on Bravo.
